Anything by Whitney Houston especially I Will Always Love You, anything by Dido, Coldplay, Radiohead, Olly Murs, James Blunt and any version of Do They Know It's Christmas?

I signed up for Absolute Radio (I like Absolute 80s) and listen through the app or online and ads are less frequent/shorter if you sign up.

Back on topic, that Clean Bandit tune that they use on the M&S TV ad. Overplayed to death on the radio, and now it spills over to t' telly. Nice.
YES!! Thank you for giving a name to my pain! I didn't know who 'wrote' this horrible little earwig, but the first 4 notes are enough to start me retching and clambering over, under or through anything between me and the mute button on the TV zapper.
Aural equivalent of sugar coated vomit, and about as appealing.
Even as a committed pacifist, it makes me want to do painful things to whoever is responsible!

As an alternative I mainly now listen to the genus that is FIP radio from France, now available on their own app. Try it, you might just like it! No ads and only 5 mins of sexy sounding French news every hour!

Listen to either LBC talk radio in the van or stored music.

james obrien spending 20 minutes loving the sound of his own voice introducing the topic has me reaching for the source button, or adverts I've at least a brazillion times. FFS "galliard homes" or "gotomeeting" talk radio is for people more likely to be actively paying attention to whats being said rather than brain-off commercial music droids, you don't need to piledrive it in- try recording a different advert, it's 30 secs of voice, how hard or expensive can it be?
