We Built This City On Rock n Roll - Starship
Anything by Alanis Morrisette
My iTunes has a pretty diverse range of music in it so I guess I can just about tolerate most things, even "We Built this City on Sausage Rolls", but for me one song that would make me turn off let alone over would be Mull of Kintyre, or having said that just thought to add anything by Cliff Richard (though the latter may not be getting as much air time anymore) as well.Anything by Alanis Morrisette
Capital used to be quite good back in the late 80's, and had some big name presenters. Chris Tarrant and John Sachs I always thought were pretty good.
Then they lost the plot in the 2000's, they binned a lot of their old music, and the old format, and it is now geared very much towards city youth pop/dance/RnB. They used to cater for a large age range playing everything from pop to rock in the 80's.
Radio now is all to do with profit and audience market share. It does not really matter what they play as long as it fits their demographic/promise of performance.
A lot if stations were hitting hard times, and Heart FM went around the country buying up these small stations centralising playlists and various functions. Most radio is now in the hands of large groups owning multiple stations.
It is really good however when someone like Radio 2 pull out a song you haven't heard for years and play it. I think many commercial stations rely on playing the biggest hit from x artist, which happen to be the overplayed ones that are incidentally on every compilation album you buy.

I don't let my staff have the radio on anymore.
Its not tuned to anything in my car, I just put a CD in.
Harsh. They will riot. Its not tuned to anything in my car, I just put a CD in.
Our radio was off and this bloke just walked in and looked about and walked off. At the time we did not know he was PRS and I was miffed that he crossed a red and white "no entry chain" into our workshops while welding was taking place so I told the lads to make sure anyone coming in was challenged and brought to the office.
Loads of other businesses on the estate got hefty fines so after that I removed the radio completely.
It was off that day because I had happened to get pissed off and turned it off.
Adele, cannot stand her, boring, overrated rubbish, at least it's not played every other song anymore. Also, music you expect to hear in a nightclub. The crappy screamy loud headache inducing "music" that Radio 1 seems to play. Anything after 7pm.
Also, songs I don't know, just don't trust them so turn them off.
The adverts are bloody annoying, I drove to Tesco which is about 10 minutes away, couldn't be bothered plug my phone in, there was no music on the radio stations with adverts in 10 minutes and BBC was playing crap.

Most things R1 play.
Went and bought a DAB radio within 3 weeks of Chris Moyels leaving and never looked back. 6Music in the mornings and then 1Xtra on my way home. Sometimes they both bore/frustrate me, but at least they play music which is pushing the boundaries, and at least both sets of DJs understand, talk about, and critique the music. 1Xtra less so, but Charlie Sloth knows a lot about hiphop and has some revealing interviews with artists.

I switch between Capital (South Wales), Heart and Radio 1 mainly. Occasionally Jack FM when I stumble across the frequency.
No songs really irk me, I like music. I get annoyed by the radio when it's excessive talking on my morning drive - I don't mind a bit of light-hearted humour, but when I've got to listen to two DJs debate the benefits of trains or talk to some jobseeker about how they deserve their next holiday because they've got it so hard, I'll switch over or just listen to whatever CD I've got installed.
