Agree 100%, probably my most hated song of all time.

Also anything by Queen.
I love this song. As a teenager the milk round boss made us listen to Real Radio, they played it all the bloody time. I hated it back then, love it now, reminds me of simpler times.

I suppose it will be overplayed if you listen to those stations all the time.

Oh I don't listen to the radio, but if I did I'd switch off for Bruno Mars & Olli Murs.

I switch between Capital (South Wales), Heart and Radio 1 mainly. Occasionally Jack FM when I stumble across the frequency.
Jack FM music isn't bad but the stupid voice sections are annoying. Strangely jack FM shows as Sam FM on the head unit.

Another vote for Sam Smith and his whiney voice on every song.

Must admit, the Jack FM voice bits were cringey.

Anyway, some Jack FM stations have been discontinued and rebranded as SAM FM.

Ive also noticed that Absolute 90's has disappeared from DAB

I was going to say "Yay!" but I checked first and it's still there. Shame. Endless Blur vs Oasis "competition". Both crap.

Which reminds me, Blur and Oasis get The Button from me, particularly the Oasis one that just goes "This is Rock and Roll" over and over and over again to the same whiny guitar note.

I generally listen to Radio 2. There I've said it.

However when they're either advertising her show or when her show comes on at the weekend it's got me turning over.

Whoever the hell though it was a good idea to put Elaine Paige on with her show tunes on should be shot.

I'm sure Absolute 90's has been discontinued from DAB, I never used to mind it, it was one more channel to flick through to see if there was anything worth listening to.
When I got my latest car I made sure it had DAB as I listened to Talksport a lot, then I grew tired of the adverts and constant repeating of the same discussions over and over.
Then my teenage daughter introduced me to Spotify, its well worth looking into (free music with a small ad every 30 mins, no hassle with downloading or syncing iTunes accounts) if you can plug your phone into your car somehow. Now I just create my own playlists (80's, Madchester, Mod stuff etc) and stick it on Shuffle when I get in the car. If something comes on that I'm not bothered about I then flick through Absolute, Absolute80's and SamFM. Generally I'll find something biggrin

M-People - "Search for the hero"

Pretty much anything by Adele - especially that "chhaasing Phhaavements" song.

Oh, but there are so, so many.

My guaranteed off-switcher though is "Loving you" by Minnie Ripperton

Eardrum bursting screeching. EEEK!

I am pretty easy oasy with radio, tend to stick to local station for playing a fair amount of music (though it seems to be one mix CD a week) but i have kerrang, planet/classic rock on, but as mentioned they are getting bad for blabbering and no music.

Worst one for me is Eagle Eye Cherry, Save Tonight. My first job was working in a hospital stores warehouse for summer and local radio station was playing it as it was in the hit parade, it was on ALL DAY! Makes me turn off straight away now.

I tend not to listen to music on the radio anymore. I go more for news, local news, discussions and sports. Most of the FM stations are either adverts or modern pop which doesn't appeal to me.

Anything rap related, Rhianna, Beyonce or other Whitney Houston wannabees gets an instant dial grab from me.

Commute to work...
TalkSport although Alan Brazil is a knob so if the guest is st and there isn't much to talk about - my own stuff.

Work
Radio 2 is just on, boss won't have anything else. And to be fair there isn't much they play that makes me resent Radio and force me to start using headphones ...and it's advert free.
I genuinely cannot comprehend how people can listen to Heart and not go mental.

Commute home
TalkSport - Darren and Durham - the best radio show there is.

This is completely against what the point of the OP is but if some of the lists people have written here are true, you'd be changing every 10 minutes?!

For long drives, couple of DJ sets, new albums or just random a USB stick - in this day and age, I understand why people would listen to 'music radio' in their cars.

Currently living in Oz (from UK), and all the Aussie rap on the air is awful! I don't tend to listen to much rap music, but there is something really happy-go-lucky about it that is so grating.

If Kiss play it, it's terrible (other than about 5% of the stuff on during kisstory). We often have kisstory on in the office, hoping to catch a classic, but if we forget to change it afterwards, it slips into some of the worst music ever written.

Is it wrong that I like most of the songs/bands mentioned in this thread? scratchchin

And that the stations I scroll through are usually Kiss, Heart and Capital which most people seem to hate? Having said that I don't drive that much so maybe I don't suffer from the repetitiveness.

'Zombie' by The Cranberries.

I know it was a big hit, and is very popular, but to me it's a droning, whiney POS, with lyrics that would probably be bettered if you asked some primary schoolers to pen a protest song.

Hate it.

No, his one before that was much worse. The lyrics were just ste and meant nothing.

My instant turn off is...

They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse in Your Soul.
You know the one..."Say I'm the only bee in yurrrrrr bonnet!" furious

I honestly can't relay to you how much I hate that fker!
