If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mine would be War of the worlds, I never ever get bored of hearing it.

The Empyrean - John Frusciante. So much going on, and I love the mix. Always extra things to find in there.

Hm. Maybe Chinese Democracy (Guns n Roses). It's got some high energy bits and some mellow bits. Depending on my mood I'll just skip the bits I don't want. http://amzn.to/1Iyhbf9

I could listen to track 6 and 14 on loop. nuts

An end has a start by editors. I played it to death when it came out and it's still my go to album if I'm bored of my playlists.

That's a very very tough call! Already some good suggestions. I could make loads more!

But the one which sprang to mind instantly, albeit it probably wouldn't be on many other people's list, would be Attack of the Grey Lantern by Mansun. It's certainly one of my all-time faves. But I could have a top 10 very quickly!

I should listen to it again then. I've got it, but it's never stood out to me.

My other one is Bleed America by Jimmy Eat World. Love that album.

I think it grows on you. The two tracks I mentioned are quite long and change about in a ballad-y kind of way so do take getting used to. Nice to listen to when commuting.

Part of what put me off the album initially was the lack of Slash but I've realised the "new" guy's pretty good now that I've listened to this album hundreds of times.

The energetic songs are not great but they're not bad so it's something you can listen to when in the mood, hence I think it could be the one album for the rest of my life.

I've just listened to There Was a Time yet again!

I'd really struggle to listen to one album for the rest of my life. I could do two and the only reason be as much as I love rap I'd need something chilled out to stop me going all super gangsta.

Rap - Mobb Deep - The Infamous
Soul - Dangelo - Brown Sugar

As much as I'm a bit of a heavy rock fan, I'd like to say The Heart Of Saturday Night by Tom Waits...
... but it only suits melancholy moods. So, I'd choose Mezzanine by Massive Attack. Never get tired of hearing it, and whatever mood I'm in it seems to fit. Dark, heavy, slightly seedy, with an under-lying menace, and both tense and yet curiously chilled and relaxing. Perfect.

It would be one of these three....

Radiohead Bends
LZ Physical Graffiti
Jeff Buckley Grace (the special re-release with a few extras).

Maybe I'd make a mix tape wink

Can I cheat and have the 2 disc 2000 release of 'The Best of Black Sabbath'?
