Lovely guitar OP, like the mini humbuckers! Have fun with it. Love the colour combination too

Denim/White Flame is HORRIBLE looking...
If your going to spend that monies it needs to an iconic model in a desirable colour IMHO
At least then it'll be worth more than 50p if you decide to sell it in 12 months time!
Well that was totally unnecessary and uncalled for. If your going to spend that monies it needs to an iconic model in a desirable colour IMHO

Agreed. Not to mention the fact it's a solid colour, and it isn't Denim either............hwajones said:

Have to say that I have been trying not to buy a Deluxe in gold since all the prices went down from silly to a lot less silly. Lovely guitars.
I've not been playing long either and I find that wider neck a real pleasure - no slipping off the sides and a bit of room to wriggle about on too.

Get it bought, just think buy it on one year delayed finance pay it off with a interest free credit card on the 11th month for 18 months and all of a sudden its £42/month. With no interest charge. Now book a table at a fancy restuarant where a meal would be at least £50, then cancel it to spend the evening playing your guitar. Do this every month saving you £50/ month.
Count the guitar cost versus the saving on the meal you would of gone to and all of a sudden your making £8/month feom this guitar.
£8 x 30 months = £240 for a banjo.
Got to love man maths

........ it's nice to see a LP that isn't some kind of burst.......
Sorry Gaz, but the OP's posts triggered me to go and buy this Tobacco Burst Standard (whilst the prices are heavily discounted). I must have a fetish, because all my electrics are Sunbursts! The finish on this is amazing, and from the 5 minutes I've noodled about with it since I got it home, it plays like butter. It's also much, much lighter than the other 20 year old LP I have, which is a solid with no weight relief. The auto tuning gizmo seems to work too. It's a bit unnerving watching the pegs spin around all by themselves.....
I'm looking forward to experimenting a bit with the sounds, as apart from the standard LP humbucker sounds, it also has switchable coil splits, switchable out of phase wiring and switch to bypass all the internal wiring.
Some awesome guitar purchasing going on
I agree with the G Force comments - I've been using mine almost daily since March and it's been brilliantly reliable. They've taken such a massive slating online, I'm convinced people just can't use them properly, or - have never tried them at all
Lovely LP's though - I went for the Heritage Cherry Standard - it's utterly phenomenal

Glad to hear you agreed with the details! I only have a squier telecaster but i really do like it and still picked it up to have a play on yesterday despite the new shiny blue guitar.
Heres my telecaster.
I have one of them - slightly more butterscotch, good axe for the money. Heres my telecaster.

My thoughts exactly if you wither dont care about the colour or would pick that anyway its a huge saving of nearly 50%.
Still really enjoying my pelham blue deluxe but wondering if worth an amp upgrade as playing it through a fender mustang 1 amp probably isnt getting the best from it.

Didn't someone say that earlier in the thread? Get a small valve amp to get the most out of the guitar, even something like an Orange Microterror or a Vox Night Train would be good. Or have a look on some of the gear exchange groups on Facebook, there was a Laney Cub 12R being offered around for £80, which is an awful lot of amp for the money. I've got one that I take to jam sessions and even played a pub gig with once when I couldn't be arsed to drag the Marshall out of the house.
