Can be anything, a festival, band, event etc. Something special you'll go all-out for.

Two of my favourite live discs are the performances of Rammstien and Metallica at Nimes. There's something momentous about seeing a rock band play such a venue, more like a scene out of a post-apocalyptic movie than an actual gig in the 21st century. Only the frogs would think to do this, over here you'd have english heritage insisting you erect 5000000 yards of ply hoarding to protect anything worth looking at.

Anyone been? Any tips? No-one special has played the festival de nimes in the last couple of years IMVHO but as soon as someone does I'm there. everything else can work around it.

At some point, I must attend a classical concert; a notable one by a world class orchestra and conductor.

Something like Beethoven's 6th played by the Leipzig Gewanthaus under the baton of Ricardo Chailly at the Royal Albert. Followed by Dan Barenboim playing a couple of Chopin Nocturnes.

See Tool live again. It's almost been 10 years.
See Bring Me The Horizon live (gig in Cardiff soon)
See Royal Blood live
See Monuments again.
See Sikth again (got tickets)
See Black Peaks again (tickets on sale Friday)
See Between The Buried And Me live
See The Parlor Mob live

I'd like to do some big festivals again

Download (went in '06)
Wacken Open Air
Reading (always shunned it, but it was a good line up this year)

before I go married three years ago I said to Mrs PT, "look, just so you know, if The Smiths ever bury the hatchet and get their st together, I'm gonna be like one of those Led Zep punters, spunking the cost of a family holiday on a ticket to see them. Best we get that out there now so you know, saves any argument if it ever happens"

Them apart, I've seen everyone I've ever wanted to see.
