I did not get in to John Martyn until around 8 years ago, unfortunately I never got to see him perform live.
Late night John is one of my all time favourite albums. Very sad he is no longer around

I just looked up that album and noticed Hurt In Your Heart is on there, great track from Grace And Danger, an album I can thoroughly recommend.
It seemed like his health rapidly declined just as the new millennium got going, a friend saw him at the Cambridge Corn Exchange in the early 2000s and he could barely perform and the show was over within half hour so sad for such a talent.

Grace and danger is one of my all time favourite albums, and I was lucky enough to seem him in the Glasgow Pavilon in the early eighties. Pure class that night and the support band Dance Class were splendid into the bargin. Time fly's it seems only yesterday that I watch a documentry on the man while he was waiting for his leg amputation.

Johnny Too Bad - fantastic!!

One of my favourite musicians and I was lucky to see him more than a dozen times. The best I saw him was Newcastle City Hall in, iirc, 1984. I'm now going to listen to 'Could've Been Me'
