I searched and there were archived topics from 2006... excuse me if I missed a more recent thread.

Beyonce
U2
Fat Boy Slim
The Darkness
Limpbizkit
Mumford and Sons
Bombay Bicycle Club
Jessie J

I don't keep a list either, but off the top of my head:

The Stranglers
Wilko Johnson
Nine Below Zero (s)
The Membranes (s)
Thompson Twins
Shriekback (s)
Howard Jones
Strawberry Switchblade (s)
Big Country
Pallas
Pendragon
Max Raptor (s)
The Rezillos (s)
The Godfathers (s)
Three Men and Black
Glenn Tilbrook

(s) means they were support bands when I saw them. I like to think that if it wasn't such a palaver to get to a decent venue, I might go and see more bands and maybe more variety.

I've seen them three times, you'll love it, possibly the best live band I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot, far too many to start writing a list here!). DG is the consummate showman (how's his leg?).

As above, my list is extensive, I started trying to write a list a few years back but gave up, every so often I hear a band from the past and remember oh yes, I've seen them too.

I haven't even seen that many (I think...) but I still have trouble remembering who, when and where. I guarantee I'll remember a couple as soon as I post.

Here are some:

Eric Clapton
Bob Dylan
The Who
Motorhead
Bellowhead
Jethro Tull
Saw Doctors
Fairport Convention
Steeleye Span
Queensryche
Joan Armatrading
Bad Manners
Nik Kershaw
Average White Band
Meatloaf

...and memory then fails...

Also, add in any number of amateur, unknown and long since 'disbanded' acts, which were awesome for enjoying some drunken live music at the time, but were probably ste.

ETA - Told you! Just remembered:

Big Country
Alanis Morrissette

Probably yet more...

Brotherhood of Man
Nolans
Wet Wet Wet
Debbie Gibson
T'Pau
Bjorn Again
Police
Crowded House (more than once)
Sting (more than once)
Suzanne Vega (more than once)
Faith Brothers (more than once)
Julian Cope
U2 (more than once)
Lou Reed
Hank Wangford
Aslan
Blur (more than once)
Beady Eye
Stone Roses
INXS (more than once)

Simple Minds
David Bowie
Peter Gabriel
Cyndi Lauper
Alanis Morrisette
Black Crowes
Darkness
Lemonheads
Evan Dando (more than once)
Chris Difford & Glen Tilbrook
Paul Simon & Sting

Highlights were...

The Police at Wembley Arena in 1983. I was only 14 and it was the first rock concert I'd been to. The noise, lights and energy just blew me away. I still love the Police to this day and still think they're the best live band ever...not including the 2007 tour though.

Alanis Morrissette at Hammersmith Odeon. I liked her albums but wasn't expecting much but the band just had so much energy and ability...I really enjoyed it.

Stone Roses at Heaton Park....the whole crowd singing 'I wanna be adored' drowned out Ian Brown, which is no bad thing.

U2 at Wembley Stadium in 87. Just perfect stadium rock. Seeing a crowd of 1000s in front of me pogoing.

David Bowie, Simple Minds both at Wembley Arena. Both major dissappointments.

Cyndi Lauper at Hammersmith Odeon...surprisingly good.

Been to a few Reading and V festivals so quite a few, but the gigs I've paid for specifically for the band, support or both that I can remember...
