The wonderful but wonderfully pretentious Prince Rama in a small Hackney venue at the end of May. cool

Sad news for anyone going but Hevy Fest has been cancelled. I went last year and it was pretty awesome to be honest. The small festival thing is great, big enough crowds for that festival feel but the tents were all close enough that if you didn't like the band playing it was literally 20 seconds to listen to a new band, plus the food, drink, toilets and merch were all just as close. Shame.

saw 'Wolfmother' last night in glasgow and was a really really god gig!

I've only really heard he first album and decided to get tickets for the gig because me and mates havent been to any gigs yet this year, but damn they were good!!

awesome sound from only the three of them, so many amazing guitar riffs. they sounded awesome and the crowd were really into it. was very glad I went!

Just got back home from seeing ELO.
Not really my thing, but excellent show.
The feeling in support were good, too.

Saw Muse at the O2 last night on their Drones tour. Unquestionably the best gig I've ever been to!

A great stage show played in the round with all sorts of amazing visuals, and the band themselves were just immense. I can't wait to go and see them again.

Went to see Troye Sivan as chaperone for my daughter and her 2 mates last night.

Off to see The Fall at The Ritz tonight. Don't think I have been in there this century!

I am thinking that could be a unique double?

Wednesday nights at the Ritz were a staple in my youth. Just enough time to recover for the weekend hehe

I never really clicked with The Fall but saw them live a few times in order to ogle Brix Smith wink I do appreciate them a lot more now.

Hope you have a great time, but beware. I saw The Levellers play at Manchester International a few years back and for some reason I was gobsmaked at how old they looked.

Say hello to the old girl for me, The Ritz not Brix.

We I have to say The Fall where much better than I thought they would be. MES is still mental and the band were powerful and tight.

Was much better than I thought it would be as although I enjoy their records some of the life performances I have seen have been shambolic.

My wife and I were trying work out what particular drug MES had been on and we settled on "two of everything"

To be fair, they were probably thinking "blimey, ....crowd are knocking on a bit!" biggrin

So, another gig added to my list for this year,

March - Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott @ Hull City Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Great night in Hull!
I've got tickets for Royal Albert Hall tomorrow night!!

cool
Looking forward to it! You standing or sitting? Half an hour and I'll be leaving to catch the train down!
Sitting!
I was standing. Really good night, enjoyed it a lot. Shame Jacqui was struggling so much. Good couple of days in London as well.
We were sitting right at the front near the side of stage myself and MrsPagey both commented that we should have been standing

It was a really good night, contemplating grabbing some late tickets for Sherwood Pines or Somerset House thumbup

Jeff Lynne ELO tomorrow night cool and again on Tuesday redface. Myself and Mrs Pagey both purchased the other tickets as a Christmas Present laugh

Got an evening with Mark Lanegan on Saturday night, then Beach Slang in Edinburgh in June, then Stevie Wonder in July! Supported by Corinne Bailey Rae and Pharrell, should be an excellent day.

Only just started getting into Lanegan/Screaming Trees etc although I like his work with Queens of the Stone Age. There's a rumour that Josh Homme sometimes plays with him, that could be interesting!
