Glenn Frey Passes Away
Discussion
Vocals - David Bowie (69)
Guitar - Glenn Frey (67)
Bass - Lemmy (69)
Drums - Dale Griffin (67)
Keyboards - ???
If I was Rick Wakeman (67), I'd be wrapping myself in bubble wrap and bolting the doors.
Seriously though another big loss, although The Eagles were never one of my favourite bands.
If you look at some of the ages of a lot of famous people who had 'interesting' 70s lifestyles, I think the Reaper is going to be a very busy boy this year.

So many family memories (mainly car journeys .) listening to The Eagles and then buying my own cassette of theirs, which I listened to many many times! Ageless music.
My Dad is 67 these recent losses all of his age have really shaken me up. I don't want to overthink it or be melodramatic but it has just been an eye opener .
A very sad loss
Have to agree with this - Bowie was the same age as my mother, and Frey the same age as my Dad. Really starts to make you think. My Dad is 67 these recent losses all of his age have really shaken me up. I don't want to overthink it or be melodramatic but it has just been an eye opener .

Earls Court 2000.
One of the best nights of my life.
There's a very good concert shaping up up there.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of "legendary" musicians around this age, late 60's/early 70's.
Macca, Jagger, Keef, Planty etc.
Age is catching up with them.
Yes, will be carnage over the next 10-20 years for classic rock lovers, all the pioneers of rock and pop will be likely passing on at some stage. Unlikely to have such a generation of great artists ever again who have had such an influence on genres and inspiration for young musicians.Macca, Jagger, Keef, Planty etc.
Age is catching up with them.
Ozzy & Sabbath, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, rest of the Beatles,The Stones, rest of Queen, Elton John, ELO, Deep Purple, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC + a shedload of Americans too - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Dylan, Springsteen etc.
We'll be left with Bieber, David Guetta and Nickelback.
