I saw ELO on Friday night and they were awesome but I am biased as my uncles the only other remaining original member. We got to see them at Hyde Park too a couple of years ago which is what sparked it all off again.

Sadly I couldnt wing tickets for Glasto too...hurumph!
That's quite some connection to have to the band!!
My aunt gets us tickets so we get VIP and backstage which is always good so we're very lucky. Hard to think a couple of old brummies have still got it after all these years.

The band being used is actually the same band Gary Barlow used and they're bloody awesome.

Christine and the Queens (think that is right) was a great little set. Really enjoyed her energy and interaction with the audience and a lovely voice.

Also a bit jealous that she could look so good in a pair of grey trousers and a white t-shirt!!

Just watching them now. Really enjoying it. My family are all Midlanders so I think they have a Brummie bond hehe

I liked her a lot. I thought her "performance art" style of show was very good.
I personally thought she was very androgynous and that style made her and her dancers even more striking smile

Yes I'd agree with that.

ELO a top band - saw them earlier in the year at Liverpool. I'd have thought that they would've been better headliners than Adele.

Squeeze as usual also brilliant!

ELO were great and the Sunday mid pm slot is always for a chilled out old timer, I am not Adele fan and watched New Order instead but to suggest ELO should headline the UKs biggest festival, given the average here is probably 25 is laughable in reality, sorry

I only know them because my parents played their album regularly when I was in the car as a nipper

Everyone loves ELO...it's the law. Their fanbase covers all generations. Simply timeless excellence.

Coldplay on now. Another great act. Not sure why some people seem to not like them?

Indeed. A band with a 70-year-old front man blew the metaphorical roof off Glastonbury three years ago

Its a case of thinking you're cool by disliking mainstream bands i find

They're outstanding, unreal how many good songs they've produced. You'll struggle to find anyone who can put on a headline show like these guys

I like ELO but I'm really not that keen on Coldplay. They've done some good songs but I find CM a bit to earnest if I'm honest.

Coldplay.

It's like music but blander.
