Glastonbury 2016
Discussion
Lets just agree to disagree.
I think a band like ELO are great in the 4pm Sunday slot but don't want to see them headlining - same with Yes, Jethro Tull, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd (insert 70s rock band of your choice). If that sort of older band regularly headlined I think the majority of the target audience (20s) would stop coming. I would not come as much either.

Yeah being at night with the lights and video screen probably makes a difference, but the crowd, at least where I was near the front, was just so up for it particularly with it being last up on Sunday night it really made for a great show. I've seen a fair amount of live music over the years, but this was something else entirely.
They were execellent, as good as their last ever UK gig in Hyde Park in 2010 (Murphy you cheeky bd)PurpleTurtle said:
I gave LCD a whirl on iPlayer over the weekend but just couldn't get on with them, horses for courses I guess.
I'm not a massive Muse fan, but I do like some of their stuuf, that seemed pretty good. I was over at the John Peel watching Sigur Ros at the time.
LCD are one of those bands who really suffer on iplayer vs live, live they were awesome, I watched again on iplayer and it was a bit flat, weirdI'm not a massive Muse fan, but I do like some of their stuuf, that seemed pretty good. I was over at the John Peel watching Sigur Ros at the time.
Foals came across on iplayer but still no way near the exhilaration of being there live, even when they left speakers blew for one track
I am far from an aggressive person but have almost got into some awkward situations when having a go at the idiots who piss on floor/walls rather than wait 30 more seconds and piss in the proper urinals. Despite the numerous signs informing people of the issue.
The council tests the water quality every year and Glastonbury is always teetering on the edge of a ban due to urine polluting the water table.

Personally never have a problem finding a toilet TBH, yes you might have to queue sometimes but generally only a few minutes
Other stage - big toilet block to the back left of the viewing area by the railway line (but not over), 5 minute walk max, less when not muddy
I am talking about blokes pissing against the fencing / plastic sheeting AT THE ENTRANCE TO or even ONCE INSIDE the urinal tents, where there was no queue or a max 30 second wait!
