Try an Adele gig if you want proper singing.

God no! That irritating little yelp she insists on doing almost every other song....

From the videos I've seen it seems to be more "tuneful screaming" than actual singing.
How would you describe Brian Johnson then?!

Try an Adele gig if you want proper singing.

I thought Axl was very good.
Complaing about a vocalist screaming at an ACDC concert laugh

Brian Johnson isn't quite as bad - he seems to have a better vocal range than Axl - maybe he just needs more practice.

Brian Johnson and 'vocal range' are two clear dichotomies. He shouts and mumbles now. 15 years ago you could just about make out some words... .

Can't stand Adele either, strange thing to say,she sounds like she looks!;-) If you've ever watched shooting stars with Vic and Bob when Vic sings a song in a pub singer style,Adele sounds a bit less exaggerated than that admittedly, she's got some annoying little traits she drops into every song, really annoying!
Anyway,isn't it about time she released a ballad?Oh no,wait.....

Great show, loved it. Axl was awesome and fitted in seamlessly.

Can't believe some didn't want to go because it wasn't "authentic" AC/DC. They missed a treat.

Only problem was I think I'd have been closer sat at home! At the far end of a large stadium so hardly an "intimate" experience.

My pal who got the tickets said he did it pretty much as soon as they went on sale. How did those at the front manage to get those tickets then? Watching from behind it did seem to be fun down there with everyone packed in and bouncing up and down.
They didn't really get special tickets - just a wristband while they lasted - I've seen that done a big gigs before to cut down any crush at front. Basically, it's first-come first-served turn up at the entry to the area when you get in and get a wristband that lets you come and go as you like. I took advantage of it at the Foo Fighters at MK, but was happy enough with a seat in level 1 this time round.

Glad that I kept hold of the tickets.

Was a very good performance by all. Every one around me on the train back all said that they enjoyed it and had no complaints about Axl, although a few had been close to getting a refund.

Unfortunatley Brians voice is fked - Axl is miles better at the moment, Shoot to Thrill example is a good one.

Very good concert at the Etihad. Although you're aware something isn't quite right, ie a man in a cap yelling unintelligible words is missing, Axl gave a good performance and he seems to have an impressive vocal range. The band weren't quite as tight as I remember, but they still rocked convincingly. The Etihad is an amazing venue and the atmosphere was incredible.

AC/DC was always about a really tight rhythm section, you only have to listen to HTH ot BIB to hear this. The vocals and lead guitar are then just dressing.

M.Young/Williams/Rudd in their heyday were just so tight.
