one question where does it go at the end, looks like he throws it above his head but it doesnt come back down ?
Can anyone explain this weird phenomenon where people wait until an artist dies before buying their album. Surely if they liked his music they would already have bought the album.
His 2006 hits album is No.10 in the charts.

I will admit I've wondered about that too. I'm hoping a roadie caught it, or maybe some lucky fella in the audience got a free guitar that day I've also wondered why he did it. My guess from watching it (many times) is that he's totally frustrated that the song has ended and that was his one and only time on stage that night.
When you watch him closely and see him making eye contact with the other musicians, and see the odd little smile creep across his face my head assumed he just wanted to stay there all night.
A bit like a child at a fun fair when they're told "it's time to go home now" and they still want more turns on all the rides - toys leave pram.
It took me a while to come to terms with his action there because the performance was outstanding and I thought it was totally unnecessary just to storm off stage like that.
There were only two conclusions I could reach;
1. He thought everyone else on stage was st, felt they were all beneath him and it was a 'fvck you lot' moment.
2. He just wanted to stay there all night.
The more I learn about him the more I hope it was the second reason.
Who knows? Perhaps just "Rock 'n' Roll"

Good observation. I was lucky enough to attend a private gig at his rented house in Beverly Hills and he played until 6:00am. There were about five of us left in the room but he was not playing for the audience, he was playing for himself. That memory will stay with me for the rest of my life.I've also wondered why he did it. My guess from watching it (many times) is that he's totally frustrated that the song has ended and that was his one and only time on stage that night.

He was a very gracious, polite and friendly guy off stage but an absolute beast when he picked up that guitar.
