Thought it might be interesting if anyone's spotted famous people in the crowd when you've been at a gig?
Only reason i ask is it's only happened to me once, 2001 at acdc gig at Milton Keynes bowl(few other bands on too). Kept looking round at this guy thinking he looked familiar, clocked him a few times and about the third time he looked right at me and nodded his head, to say yes, it's me! Lol, we both laughed at each other, it was Mike Rutherford from Genesis.Any other's spotted?

Krusher at a Motorhead gig at Brixton Academy, four or five years ago.

He looked exactly the same as he always did on Raw Power many years before!

Alice Cooper walked past me at a White Stripes gig at Ally Pally a few years back. He's a lot shorter than I realised.

David Blaine nodded at me when we made eye contact at a Jimmy Carr show. Well, I thought it was him until my wife pointed out it was not David Blaine and that it was, in fact, Example.

Met Richard Branson at a Mike Oldfield gig in London, he was just in the VIP area of the crowd at the front, kinda bumped into to him and like a spaz I said 'You're Richard Branson!' to which he replied 'I know!' then wandered off before I could say anything else.

I saw Pete Wylie about 20 years ago in Manchester. There was a tall bloke stood next to me who I sort of recognised but didn't know where from but it didn't stop me from keep sneaking looks at him.
Towards the end of the show, Wylie thanked some of his famous friends for coming along and supporting him including Mick Jones.
Mick turned to me, nodded as if to say "that's who I am ", and climbed up on stage to join The mighty.Wah

hehe

The reason there were lots is, of course, that I was on stage and they were in the audience. smile

Why would you call a lift Peter Gabriel?

Jimmy Page at Roy Harper's 60th birthday gig at the RFH. Stood in the bar with him and chatted for five minutes.

I was just about to type that, except I almost pissed on him when I sneezed at the urinals.

Gordon Murray at a Penguin Café Orchestra gig.

"SIMON JEFFES’ PENGUIN CAFÉ ORCHESTRA

SIMON JEFFES may not be a familiar composer, however his music has been danced by the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden. There’s a BBC Concert Orchestra CD of his pieces. He had a hand in arranging a Sex Pistols hit for Sid Vicious. And, at the posh Sporting Club, Monaco, supercar designer Gordon Murray chose one of Jeffe’s works to orchestrate the world debut of the McLaren F1, the Formula One company’s first exotic for the street."
