Stood next to Martin Gore from Depeche Mode at the bar once, he started chatting away.

Problem was it was a Depeche Mode gig and they should of been on stage by then!

Well, he probably thought that since you couldn't be arsed to be in the audience waiting for them to come on stage he couldn't be bothered either smile

Not at a gig, but I was at the bar in a quiet Kidderminster pub way back in 1978 when Led Zeppelin's John Bonham came in , ordered a pint and sat right next to me on a tall bar stool.

Totally shocked and as a huge fan I plucked up the courage to say "Hello John"...

He picked his pint up, gulped it down in one, said "fk off" and walked out.

Real rock 'n roll stuff....biggrin

There's a few, all from when I was in London though - so over 10 years ago.

Noel Gallagher and his Mrs were just behind me at a Doves gig at the Kentish Town Forum, and I saw Simon Pegg at a couple.

Easily done :-) You going to his 75th birthday gig?

I saw Lemmy at a Ramones gig at the Odeon. Mid eighties I think.

I was at the same dinner as Dennis Thatcher once. This was in the old West Car Park Restaurant at Twickenham. During a break, I went for a J. Carroll and found myself next to Dennis. He hit his head on the concrete roof and said "ess aitch 1 tee".

Does that count?

I stood near Stuart Pearce once at a Stranglers gig in Nottingham. And someone mentioned there was a Coronation Street actor at one of theirs in Manchester, but as I don't watch it I didn't recognise him.

Funny that, you've prompted my memory, saw Moby at a gig in NYC. In fairness though it was a V2 records new artist showcase gig and he was signed to V2 and we were in the VIP area so not that surprising to see him there. Failed to pluck up the courage to say hello though even though I'm a fan. I saw him close the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 2003 and it's probably one of the most memorable sets, to me anyway, that I've seen at Glastonbury. Very talented.

I stood next to Natalie Imbruglia at a Silverchair gig when she was married to Daniel Johns. Kinda obvious she would be there though!

And not me but someone recorded Dave Grohl in a Soundgarden gig getting stuck in biggrin

Lucky sod.

I stood next to, and briefly said hello, to Brian May at the Fleece in Bristol in about 1998 whilst watching the Pulkas and some other now unknown metal band. He was going through his weird industrial metal album phase and so was I!
