Erm, no it isn't.
Yes it is.
It's pap.
Bat out of Hell will be remembered as an album a long time after any memory of any Bowie albums has been lost: It's the fifth best selling album of all time. Bowie isn't even in the top 75. But Shakira is.

In your humble opinion maybe - Millions of others will disagree wink

Tell me please, what do you get from coming into a thread about 2 artists that you don't like in order to say they are crap iyho? Is is just to troll those that do, or do you actually get off on it?

Meatloaf... great singer mainly of other people songs.

Prince and Bowie, great singers, multi instrumentalists, songwriters.

Bat out of Hell was a great album, he was just the voice.

I don particularly dislike them. I just don't think either is on the level of some others who have died this year and there is a danger of a mawkish mentality descending.

Yes, indeed. It's a fact. Not only is Bowie's best selling album beaten by Britney Spears, but also offerings from Shania Twain and the soundtrack of Flashdance. laugh

I can't tell what you what position Bowie's best selling album resides at, because it doesn't even make it to the top 75. Not really very surprising though when you think of the somewhat niche audience he had for most of his career.

No further news on Rick Parfitt. I sincerely hope he's ok. He seems a nice chap and I've been a fan of Quo for many many years.

I recently watched their movie Bula Quo. Loved it. Seem two genuine funny blokes. It's quite corny and sort of 'Carry on film" in style but it made me chuckle. DVD is only about £2.99 on Amazon now. Quite a hoot!

Get well soon Rick.

I like Shakira biggrin

She's got a great voice.

I guess collapse/minor (hopefully) heart attack aren't quite up there with being dead though, if we're counting! smile

Yes,and just a voice thats been knackered for about 15-20 years, unlike Bowie's and Prince's into their latter years.

Bat Out of Hell was the first album I ever owned! It's a big slice of epicness as far as I'm concerned.

'Bat Out Of Hell"

One of life's great mysteries why Springsteen hasn't sued.
