Anyone been to an event at Somerset House?

I assume it's outdoors, in the courtyard.

If so, is there any shelter from the British Summer?

Wonderful place for a gig (Saw the Mystery Jets there a few years ago)......but alas no, there is no shelter from the British Summer

Didn't need them - The sun shone and the venue and Heaton and Abbott were great!

It was impressive how good they sounded in an open space like that, I will go again!

A great venue for gigs, I've seen many bands there over the years (Doves, BAnd of Horses, Super Furry Animals all excellent).

That was in the days when Grolsch sponsored the Summer Series. Since Amex took it over the line-up has gone off the boil for me.

Would love to go again, if they would just put on some acts that I like.

Yeah, I've almost gone a couple of times before - Franz Ferdinand were on when I was on holiday at one point and I think the Ting Tings cancelled.
