We're heading out to Menorca this weekend on a cheap package holiday.Three of us staying in a 4 bed apartment. My daughter is co-incidentally going to be in Menorca at the same time (she's backpacking around Europe, B&Bing wherever she turns up) and may want to spend some time with us while we are there. As there will be a spare bed in our apartment it makes sense for her to stay with us. I tried to contact our holiday company(Jet2) but they don't seem to be able to do anything other than sell her a full holiday with separate accommodation. I couldn't find contact details for the apartment owners to speak to them directly. Should I just let her stay with us if she wants for a night or two without telling anyone, or will we get in trouble?

Unless security at the hotel is sh*t hot I doubt that anyone will even notice. We've been on holidays before where we were in one hotel and our friends in another and we've always been able to wander into the other parties hotel and sit by the pool, use the bar and visit their apartment / rooms without being questioned. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission.

If they pick up on it just say you have no idea who she is.

Is it any different to meeting a random woman while you're out there and bringing her back to your apartment

Crack on, doubt anyone would say a thing

Yeah. Just say you pulled in her a club and you're into swinging. What are they gonna say?

Is it All Inclusive?

Tighter security if so.
Either at the gate or wrist bands.

No , it's just an apartment in a small village, our own door off the street, not in any sort of gated area. We're self catering so the only thing she'd be using is the bed (which we paid a supplement for being empty). We'd be happy to pay for her to stay, but can't find any way to do it.

Just go and enjoy yourself. It won't be an issue.

Well, I didn't feel happy bluffing it out so I spoke to the apartment manager when I got there. Great guy, he just shrugged his shoulders and said 'don't say anything to anyone, just enjoy your holiday', then arranged for some extra bedding to be delivered to our apartment. I was happy to be able to help him out a few days later when there was a problem with the pool circulation system which I managed to fix. Karma.
