Brussels airport bombing had attracted pages of comment and blanket TV coverage after just a few hours.

Hardly anything on Turkey by comparison.

Still as many dead and injured.

Not European issue?

Perhaps the fact that four separate threads on the topic have been opened may have something to do with it.

I don't think so.

There were several threads on Brussels originally.

Doesn't explain sparse UK press coverage either

More likely the Brexit stuff has priority in peoples minds.

Maybe we're becoming numb to these horrors. Not including last night's attack, in the last 23 days of Ramadan, there has been 175 separate attacks, killing 1,229 people; all in the name of Islam.

Because Turkey feels fairly remote whereas Brussels feels next door, simple as that.

I think this is the key right now.

If it had happened two weeks ago, it would have been much more prominent.
