What are you doing with your CD collection?

Can't beat having to get up and physically select an album, whether disc or record.
I hate going for dinner at friends' houses and not being able to assess their musical tastes by perusing the CD spines.
Obviously you can't tell by their clothes since they all shop at Primark.

I've noticed Amazon seem quite keen to get rid of their CD's. The last few albums I've bought from them the CD has been cheaper, even with postage, than the download. However buying the CD also includes a free download so I get want I actually wanted, a download, and then a couple of days later I get a CD which doesn't come out of it's cellophane.
To answer the OP's question, they are all on shelves in the spare room, a little bit like books, I still like to open them up and read the sleeve notes whilst occasionally spending a few minutes shuffling them about and re-ordering them.

Sold them all off to music magpie along with all our DVDs about 4 years ago, we have no physical media in the house and are entirely digital.
I assume you deleted any rips you may have taken from the CDs / DVDs when you sold them on as you no longer own the copyright, same for whoever gave their CDs to the charity shop Personally I ripped all mine FLAC sometime ago and the CDs are in boxes in the loft. This is my backup in case the hard drives with all the rips on ever go tits up.
Still prefer to have the physical media when buying music as I can rip to FLAC as opposed to MP3 which seems to be the main download option and not bit perfect against the original.
