Nope , being pedantic the original drummer Chris Stewart buggered off early to shear sheep and later on write "Driving on Lemons" etc .

Crosby Stills and Nash. (From time to time if not continuously....until last year anyway.)
Weren't they originally Crosby, Still, Nash and (Neil) Young?
No. CSN first, then CSNY.

Being pedantic I could say the OP said "I'm talking about the same line-up from initial chart entry time"

Except Phil Collins can no longer drum

Not as long running as some bands mentioned here, but Linkin Park have been going from the late 90's with the same members, and are still making music and selling a lot of records.

Being un-pendantic, they're a 3 piece now, rather than 5, since Gabriel left in '74. And Steve Hackett left in '78. And Chester Thompson is no longer with them. Or Darryl Steurmer. Or Anthony Phillips. And they pretty much called it a day 9 years ago. Otherwise.....

Two piece. Collins quit in 1996. They got in Ray Wilson of Stiltskin on vocals but effectively shut up shop in 2000.

Motley Crue (1981)
They got rid of Vince for a few years in the '90s, and Tommy left for a while as well. And technically, as of NYE 2015 are no longer a going concern.

A few others:
Daft Punk
Garbage
The Levellers?

If 'first chart success(entry)' is the reference point, then we are back to ZZ Top as the longest, continuously together, same line up. Together since '69, first chart entry '71.

And then reformed in 2007 for a world tour. Collins/Rutherford/Banks with support from Stuermer &Thompson.

Rush?

Edit: Scrap that, they changed the drummer years ago I think.

Well said, and he's been with Geddy and Alex for so long that John Rutsey is somewhat irrelevant.
Here's my offering: Marillion, post Fish. Yes I know that's cheating, but the five members of the current band have been together since 1989 and their new album is released on Friday 23rd, plug plug.
Perhaps not a chart band (more cheating), but genuinely inspirational. Oh, and the best band in the whole world, ever, IMHO. Cannot wait to hear the new album "FEAR"!

Led Zep would have been the same, but with a bit of irony they had to replace their drummer with their drummer's son..... Cool - or what - if not quite close to the OP proposition? Incredible Blood Line........

Damn, I've scrolled through the whole thread ready to triumphantly type Rush and then found that a) I'd been beaten too it and b) my Rush knowledge wasn't as strong as I thought!!

Although Rutsey was a founding member it was peart that set them on the path to global success. Lucky to have seen them quite a few times. Such a shame that they are retiring from touring

Me too frown Always wanted to post Rush on a topic like this but as stated beaten by ZZ Top and John Rutsey was original drummer. Not that they have had much "chart" success either. Same line up since 75 and still recording/touring.
