Tried to get Phil Collins ticket this morning, apparently they were sold out within 15 seconds. Surprise surprise, there are loads already for sale on getmein, owned by...you guess it...ticketmaster...for more than 2 or 3 times the amount.

Take the piss.

I haven't even looked. I can't.

The Phil is probably my biggest musical hero, but I was reminded of a washed up boxer coming back for one more purse. It made me sad.

I really hope he kicks arse, but him not drumming does not compute.

There's a surprise. I Never buy tickets through Ticketmaster at 0900 or Getmein when sold out @ 0901
Hence i never see big groups anymore!

Secondary ticketing is vile and unlikely to end if people keep stupid money for gigs.

Pay no more than 'Face Value' for the tickets then?

Was like a bad karaoke attempt by a drunk bloke in Benidorm.
Absolute shambles.

It's always against all odds to get tickets at face value. I'll try one more night when I get back from holiday. Only got another day in paradise before a BA 747 will take me home and will be in the air tonight.

I remember seeing him at the Royal Albert Hall about 1985,quite a few of us had been waiting a long time to see one of his solo shows after first hearing ITAT, it was a first class show but by this time along with Genesis both had lost a bit of appeal from the late 70s/early 80s worship we had for them both. I bought a sweatshirt from the show and his face on the front of it out-tangoed Donald Trump.
He really embraced the eighties which helped his bank balance but didn't do much for his street cred, the mullet, the baggy suit and all but seeing him recently not looking A1 I found a bit sad because he was a great performer once.

Tried to get tickets on a whim for the Chili Peppers at the MEN Arena. All the decent seats are on resale at at least treble value. Someone needs to do something about this - It's clear at least 40% of tickets were bought for resale. All tickets for concerts should have the initial buyers name on them.

What's stopping artists doing what Iron Maiden have done for their 2017 tour? That is, no physical ticket is actually distributed; your credit card and ID are your ticket, which stops touting altogether.

With the recent sale of Green Day tickets for their tour next year, the post code of the purchaser is printed on each ticket and proof of address has to be provided when entering the venue, however it still didn't stop tickets being advertised elsewhere for many times their face value.

They were sold out in minutes; we didn't get any.

This year Reading tickets were going for phenomenal amounts, last year we picked up 2 weekend tickets for £260 for the pair, this year we aimed to do the same but in the end they were selling for around £500 each, we didn't attend!

Odd that, I've got tickets for Maiden at the Arena in May! The tickets do, however, have my name printed on them so hopefully this will be checked.

had the same for ELO, Black Sabbath and Depeche Mode. Loads on the legal touting sites (at stupid prices), disgraceful frown

A friend of mine rang me earlier asking if I wanted to see Phil as her niece works for a bank that bought a job lot of tickets and we can have 4 of them for £111 each,
I declined as I saw him years ago
