I have to say I do love Metronomy, genius.

5 albums in, the last 3 have been absolute blinders. First 2 aren't bad either.

Saw them live in Brixton last year, they were also great there to.

TesseracT are great but not enough variance to my ears.

Probably Black Peaks, Press to MECO, Toothgrinder or Night Verses atm.

Nice to have a few recommendations, I got a bit out of music for a while, but the way the things are going at the moment I've had enough of TV and Radio News, media in general. So I've just been having music on.

And I've quite enjoyed it.

Wouldn't say they are my favourite band,,but quite enjoying Car seat headrests atm.
Especially when driving, remind me a bit of very early Beck.

Band name corrected, Doh!

Black Peaks - "progressive post-hardcore" apparently - all I know is they are fecking awesome, especially live, Will Gardner has one of the best screams I've witnessed - and great intensity as a front man (especially considering he was a teacher before this!)

Press to MECO - I don't know how to classify them... they do great riffs and nice technical bits with funny rhythms etc. and 3 part harmonies that they absolutely nail live... just awesome!

Toothgrinder - kinda remind me sometimes of SikTh but different - really fecking good

Night Verses - post-metal just lots of atmosphere (I particularly like the song Pheonix)

Wouldn't call them a favourite exactly, but I'm enjoying Avantasia at the moment. Bit like a cross between Meatloaf when he as good and Europe...

A cross between Meatloaf and Europe.

You're not exactly selling this to me.

Frightened Rabbit for me. Not so much their two most recent albums, but The Winter Of Mixed Drinks and Midnight Organ Fight are two superb records, I have them on all the time.

Used to like TesseracT. Starting to get a bit too complicated. That and the rant the drummer posted on Facebook asking fans to stop sending him demo tapes loser

Eclipse from Sweden head up my list. Every project Erik Martensson touches is gold in my opinion.
