an ex had allegedly met JayKay on several occasions - apparently a total cockwomble
I've met him a couple of times and he was good company - we did only talk about cars, which he's enthusiastic about. Might have helped. Not my photo but I may have been stood next to the photographer when it was taken. I include it because he looked like he had thrown his bags in the car and had his map on the dashboard.
I do not doubt he can be a nightmare though.
Two spring to mind for their verbal spat where things a bit nasty
Vivian Campbell and the late Ronnie James Dio
One slagged the other off in the press, so the other was seen on video slagging the first off.
Both despicable human beings but great musicians - RJD used to play keyboards before they employed a keyboard player full time.

my understanding is that it wasn't RJD but Wendy Dio that caused the issues (in much the same way as Ozzy/Sharon)Vivian Campbell and the late Ronnie James Dio

Norman Cook: not an arse but 'very polite & well spoken' according to my mum.
She baby-sat for him & Zoe Ball once when their son Woody was a toddler. He gave her a potted history on acid house & the Roland TB-303. He then gave her a note to pass on to my wife (fiancee at the time) on tips for buying one, how much to pay, what to avoid. He even gave her his mobile number if she needed a hand finding one.
Des O' Connor: an utter arse according to a few muso friends who worked with him.

No, I'm not claiming he was autotuned. If he had been, it would have sounded in tune.
Out of interest (and O/T) we did use a form of autotune back then, but it was a right faff, by altering the speed of the 2", then bouncing to 1/4", then bouncing back... but it was horrendous and took silly time to do. Mind you in the 80's we had so much money thrown at us, time wasn't an issue (an album I did took 6 months and cost WEA over half a million!)
As for examples: I hate you for making me having to listen!, but the first Youtube I found, he manages the first phrase in tune, but sadly, didn't make the second. 27 seconds in, second half of the worth ThinkING is almost a quarter tone sharp.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG07WSu7Q9w
Might not bother you, but it's like finger nails on blackboards to me.
Anyway, as I mentioned originally, the fact he can't sing it tune isn't why I think he's a prat, it's because I saw him in an interview comparing himself to Bach. That's like me comparing my 100 meter running to Usaine Bolt.
I'd never noticed that before. but you're right, it does sound noticeably off. Not quite "fingernails on a blackboard" but even my stupid ears can tell something not qite right on that one.Out of interest (and O/T) we did use a form of autotune back then, but it was a right faff, by altering the speed of the 2", then bouncing to 1/4", then bouncing back... but it was horrendous and took silly time to do. Having said that regardless, his multi million album sales and healthy bank balance would probably prove he has some kind of talent.

I'm not sure that's true. Not bothered either way about Hucknell specifically, but success is not really a reliable way to assess talent. 'The Sun' was always the UK's best-selling newspaper, James Patterson the world's best-selling author for many years. Both hideously low-quality. In music, the Spice Girls we for several years the UK's biggest band... Hardly overburdened with talent!multi million album sales and healthy bank balance would probably prove he has some kind of talent.

Maybe there are musical rules that say that one note must follow another but I'm oblivious to it generally unless it's Les Dawson playing the piano. https://youtu.be/LQ0G2Z8k1Gg?t=317
Another thumbs down for The Hucknall.
I used to run a cleaning business & one client was a backing vocalist, with her own career as a jazz singer. I'd noticed some discs/press articles/awards on her wall & got chatting about who she'd worked with & where she'd played. It transpired that I'd seen her perform as one of Simply Red's backing singers yonks ago (Fairground/Life era? Wembley/Docklands arena - can't remember??). "I hear he's an absolute arse. Is that right?" "Oh yeah, although to be fair - at that level, they all are".

Another would be Roger Taylor - lovely man.
I'd heard differently. My best mans Dad was the drummer in a band called Merlin, and he does not have anything nice to say about his encounters with Roger Taylor, but then, the first time he met him, apparently, he opened a door into Queen's changing room, and the gust blew all of Roger's 'breakfast' off its mirror.
I'd like to believe he's a gent; Queen were the band that got me into music from a very young age.

Using the term 'musician' very loosely:
Rita Ora: Venue was paid to breach Covid rules, police tell committee

It was an honest misunderstanding. Rita Ora: Venue was paid to breach Covid rules, police tell committee
