There was a interview with Mick Hucknall on the radio , and he surprised me how humble he was.

He was saying he owes his career to huey lewis and the news as it was them that tipped off the U.S record label that signed simply red.
Yet he compares himself to Bach and can't sing in tune.
I'm sure a lot of it is acting.
I compose music for a living and wouldn't dream of comparing myself to Bach. He can hardly sing and does! First in the queue. wink

Didn't Jay Kay have a reputation as being a bit of a tosser with small man syndrome?

Repeatedly accuses a photographer of denting his car, gets a full on Glasgow kiss
Much as I loathe the Paparazzi, there's an exception to every rule, and that pap is it. I can never tire of watching that smug tt Jay Kay getting a well overdue pasting. Friend of a friend used to play in his band, and confirms that he is indeed a colossal tool.

This is a much clearer clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OP1MZSbNDw

Interesting as Peter Andre is often in Taunton and always seems to have time for people despite the fact he's out with his mrs.
A promoter I know, who booked him for a gig, said he was one of the nicest guys in the biz he had met..

Photographer hopefully will be prosecuted for assault as well as criminal damage. Jay Kay did come across as a prat, but if some journo scum dented my car I'd certainly go back.

I don't think the bloke did dent his car did he? Just Jay Kay came back giving it large whilst backed up by his security.

Security aren't much use when you get right into someone's face and they stick one on you.

I thought your counterpoint was rather good!

I'd have to nominate one of my all-time heroes for this - Ritchie Blackmore. Very few who have worked with him have good things to say about him. Ronnie James Dio said that one of the things he learned from Blackmore was how not to treat fans (ie. spitting on them, etc.).
I've also heard that RB is 'difficult' (remember 'back in the day' that if he felt the audience didn't show enough reverence there'd be no encore), shame as he is 'quite' talented.

I suspect that you'd have to go some to beat/get worse than Bono, Sting, Geldorf , K.West and (if you're a non-right wing person) Ted Nugent (though I suspect with him he practices what he preaches so regains some points for that I guess). Morrissey is a total knobber too

Not sure. In the video you can see something appears to strike the car.

You can't go round head-butting people who correctly/incorrectly accuse you of denting something. Jay-Kay's an arse, the photographer's a much bigger one.

Lars Ulrich, who whilst sunning himself poolside at his LA mansion in an interview, declared war on Napster and its users and accused them of practically taking the food out his mouth by downloading Metallica albums.

A good thread. But you will miss them when they are gone... The British pop and music industry is collapsing. Some say Adele is the last big British global pop star. Soon, there will be no pop tw*ts left at all...

Interesting to see Ritchie Blackmore mentioned few times on this thread.

I remember going to see Rainbow in concert way back when and Blackmore came close to ruining the gig with his petulant, haughty and self indulgent ways. It was as if he forgot there was a paying audience out there. No doubting his talent though.
