Its that time of year when we start arranging first gigs of 2017, I have a few arranged and a few more plans slowly developing so once again, a place for everyone to post their plans for gigs for next year.

Jan - Rick Witter and Paul Banks - Fibbers, York
Feb - Space - Fruit, Hull
Jun - Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Billy Bragg, Divine Comedy - Lightstream stadium, Hull
Jun - Stone Roses - Wembley
Jul - James - Times Square, Newcastle

Looks like next years gigs will be a re run of this years!

Apr - Stranglers, Manchester Apollo

I usually do two nights on the tour, Liverpool (which is usually early on) and Manchester which is usually the tour closer. This time their tour organiser has opened a map and found that Liverpool and Manchester are really near to each other, so they're on consecutive nights. Now I can't quite decide whether to do Nottingham (which is earlier, but there's no train back), or just put up with them being next to each other, stick with Liverpool and get a train and therefore have a pint or two after the gig.

As always, Hard Rock Hell in North Wales in November.

Nothing else as yet, though.

I've a good mix planned so far:
Jan - Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, In Flames with my son, should be good fun even if I hate the venue - Genting @ Brum
Feb - Band of Horses
March - State Champs for my daughter, less than ideal but you have to treat them equally
June - likely hit Download for one of the evenings, hoping that Linkin Park play one of the days as they seem to have signed up for all the Download Europe events and my Son really wants to see them.
August - End of the Road Festival

I'd have liked to have done Bloodstock next year but it clashes with something else I've already booked so I can't go.

I've tickets booked for the CBSO twice a month on average sorted from now to the end of the current season in June. Hoping to get tickets for the RoH for a couple of shows next year in the scrum of general sale in the new year as well.

As above, Depeche Mode during the summer - happy to see a stadium show rather than the god-awful O2 in London..

We are off to see Radiohead at Arras next July. Made up with this. Closer and cheaper than seeing them in the uk.

Damned good gigs there, Russ - especially the Joe Bonamassa one. Wouldn't mind going to that myself!
