Heads up for those who might want to see it. Little 45 mine documentary about Space in Ibiza and the man himself Carl Cox.

Not a bad way to kill 45 minutes and some really nice insights into Carl's early life. The guy is just such a character.

It's on All4 4OD or whatever it's called. It was aired at 5 past midnight!

Thanks, have to check that out. Have seen him DJ a number of times, most memorable being at Mr C's The End nightclub in London (now gone), he sure knows how to create a party! Dance music legend.

yeah thats it

I like how he was describing how people began writing his track lists down... like there was some premeditated magic to it all. When really he just knows his music and knows what will fit the current mood. One of his last space sets was done with Vinyl and the guy is constantly working the mixer! I've watched some DJ's who won't touch it for ages, just letting songs play out.

One of the best mixes I have ever heard him do was on a Radio 1 show on a saturday. he was doing the guest mix... 30 records in about as many minutes. Fantastic to listen to. Lost it though and I don't think anyone anywhere recorded it. I had it on MiniDisc then mistakenly wiped it! (April or May 5th 2001, Seb Fontaine's saturday night show).

He is a top DJ. It is no wonder that this set has 19 million views! One of the best of all time IMO.

It rare that any programme on clubbing tells things so straight down the line, but that really was spot on (particularly as it brought back very fond memories of many a time in Space - not least the Final Chapter closing party that we were lucky enough to make this year! smile ) - thanks for posting, would totally have missed this gem otherwise!
