I'm sure it's just my age... but this does seem to have been a particularly crap year for losing musicians who made an impression on the youthful version of me.

I think that's an understatement Gareth!
Without sounding too morbid as our musical influences get older it was on the cards we would start losing some of the worlds musical talent albeit not in the short compressed time the way it's happened this year.
Currently playing Grace And Danger by John Martyn, hard to believe it's 8 years next month since we lost him.
