Radio X and 6 Music
Discussion
I tuned into Classic FM today - nothing but music by old dead guys. FFS. Chamber music is so 19th Century.
Anyway I gave up and switched to Jazz FM - gaah, nothing but tunes which originated amongst African Americans in New Orleans, United States, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
I thought all that st was over with..

Lets be honest none of them crappy indie bands will ever crack America, the only place they seem popular is Northern England.
You're right. However, I couldn't give a fk about whether a band cracks America or not, because it has absolutely no bearing on my life whatsoever. Most crappy indie bands don't come close, but why should it matter to you or I? Whilst we're here, might we ask what music you're into?

Succinct, and to the point. I agree. Just being a dick. Crack on.

I only recently 'discovered' radio X. As I have ears I cannot listen to radio 1, Chris Evans is irritating, radio 4 is a bit heavy for the morning commute sometimes so the irreverent C Moyles / J Vaughan is OK by me.
Prefer the indie crap than much of the guff they play elsewhere.
Radio X has the potential to be the go-to station for anyone over 25, but unfortunately their playlist is so narrow that, as mentioned above you just hear the same tracks over and over. There's a mass of tracks out there which would be "suitable" (if that's the right term) for R X but they are, I guess, driven by ad revenues and someone is puling the strings over what they play.Prefer the indie crap than much of the guff they play elsewhere.
Wasn't there some statement when Moyles joined where he said words to the effect of "they've told me I can play anything, ANYTHING, I want"? Doesn't come across like that!

Glad you agree, no one has ever put a Happy Mondays album on a Linn turntable.
I was being sarcastic. And you are wrong about the Happy Mondays.
