Chuck Berry has passed away at the age of 90. One of the pioneers who brought us rock n roll in its purest form.
Here's hoping he's up in heaven playing with his ding a ling.
Very very sad to hear tis. One of the first records I bought was "Memphis Tennessee" by Chuck, must have been '59 or '60, RIPHere's hoping he's up in heaven playing with his ding a ling.
Saw Chuck at Buxton rock festival in 1973 high on the moors. His set lasted 20 minutes.

No Chuck? No Beatles,Beach Boys etc etc
I don't think so. Respect to Chuck nevertheless. My morning soundtrack - still rocking at 81 in late 2007. Slightly more sedate and not as tight but still doing what he was born to do at an age when many have already fallen by the way side.
