The Byrds cover of Mr Tambourine Man

Three days!

Three days, man. The New York State Thruway is closed, man.

An entirely irrelevant, stoned Arlo Guthrie, intervention there.

There's a thread in there somewhere; imagined traffic information bulletins from folk artists for roads you aren't driving along. I'm not sure anyone has written lyrics about the A96 yet.

A text from daughter #2 asking if I'd pick up granddaughter #2 from school prompted me to reply 'I'll be there.' The Four Tops have been with me ever since. Nice. Good song.

Reach Out (I'll be there) - if you're tempted to search.

I'm sure an A96 homage to Route 66 could be feasible,

" Well It goes to Fochabers, down to Culloden, Inverurie City, sure looks so pretty "

Dear Prudence - The Beatles.

I read the words 'the sun's up' in another thread and I was off.

Marvellous. I'll learn later if earworms are steerable when I try to divert to other songs on the White Album.

The Connells - 74 75

If I hear this one, its probably a week until its gone, I don't really see that as a bad thing though, another forum member gave it to me on Monday.

Dumb Things

It's been years since I heard this until it popped up in an episode of Boy Swallows Universe on Netflix.

Or a band for that matter.

Talking of earworms

I got introduced to the music of Emilt Wolfe and her song My Lungs Give Out is stuck in there now

Unsurprisingly, I've had Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel performing Make Me Smile in my head for a few days.

Brilliant song.

The Shamen have got me. Haven’t heard Es Are Good (Ebenezer Goode) for years……. Now it won’t leave me alone!

In the same vein - not heard for years - Where's Me Jumper (Sultans of Ping) has been in mine for a week or so now after catching it on the radio

I am fairly certain nobody will agree with me here. hehe
Wired for Sound has been playing in my head for the last week or so. And I really don't mind, it's a cheerful 80s tune!

Sorry paperbag

Ive got no idea why but I’ve got one of the Pat Sharp Capital Radio jingles stuck in my head. It’s the “Waa waa waaa, Pat Sharps got all the hits! Waa waa waaaa, don’t miss a bit!”

Any ideas what the original song it’s based on is? It’s driving me mad laugh

You can find the jingle on YouTube if you have no idea what I’m on about!

In complete contrast to the Shamen, today’s ear worm is “Love at the Five and Dime”. It won’t go away!!

The intro runs until 1:44 if you’re listening and want to skip. The chorus will stay with you all day smile
