So frustrated. Interwebz seems to suggest not refreshing, letting the queue do it’s thing. We spread our options for the first time: 20 people chasing 6 tickets. 09:01 & one team member was through & putting registration details in. Expecting payment screen next, but was flipped back to a holding page with a different url. Then 59 minutes of nothing.
Meanwhile a neighbour had 50 friends chasing a couple of dozen tickets & they were pretty much half filled.
99% convinced I’m going to volunteer for one of the support/charity services. Blimmin fed up.

We were able to get tickets yesterday 6x devices and multiple browser windows. It's an absolutely ridiculous system but seems we just got lucky! It'll be my second time and my partner's 7(?)th. Just us that we know who were able to get tickets this year so it'll be a more chilled out affair I think...

Well done! [gritted teeth.....;)] Do you keep refreshing all the tabs or just leave them to get on with it?Chs, CF
I managed to get a ticket, as I have done for every year since 2008 when this booking madness started. That year I booked my ticket online a week before the festival, it only sold out a few days beforehand.
We had a syndicate of 52 people trying, and got tickets for 45 of us. However most of that was down to one guy - a friend of a friend of a friend - who was able to get SEVEN buying windows - I know not how! Personally I never got beyond the holding page, and that story was the same for pretty much everyone else in our syndicate. Two other people got as far as entering their registration numbers, but it timed out on them after they'd pressed 'buy' and then went sold out.
My ticket came via someone else who got an eigth buying window; one of my buying group of six people I am in that syndicate with was in Vegas for the F1, he'd asked an old pal of his to try on our behalf, he was successful, so once again (for the fifth year running now) I have a ticket because a stranger to me was able to get 'in' on the website at the right time. I've pinged him my 75 quid deposit and all good to go.
It's a crazy system. I really think they should do some sort of ballot, but I think the Eavis' love the hype it generates. I doubt there is any other music festival in the world which sells out an unannounced line-up 8 months in advance.

Wacken open Air Festival sells out immediately. 75000 tickets got on sale at midnight Monday morning, the festival finishes Sunday night. I'm in. First time through the main sale in 5 years.
I'm also a refresher but no more than 30 times in a minute or you get put in a separate holding page for robots.
There was definitely some iffiness with people getting in multiple times this time around that I don't think has been quite so bad in the past

Line-up announced today.
Headliners are Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA (Scissor for other middle-aged white blokes like me who had previously never heard of her). Shania Twain for the Sunday afternoon slot.

That's probably the worse headline list I've ever seen.
For the first time ever I watched as much of it as I could last year at home, and really enjoyed it, so I was very much looking forward to doing the same this year. Having seen the lineup poster, I am now lacking in much excitement at all. And that's from a guy who would marry Dua Lipa in a heartbeat.

Yep, Coldplay are actually pretty decent live however they have headlined many times already, I know Eavis has said she wanted more female headliners, Dua Lipa is popular but is she a Glastonbury headliner, I'm not so sure and who the hell is SZA, its almost as if she has gone for these 2 just because they are female.Just mentioned this to my 25yo female colleague, SZA is huge apparently however she can't name any of her songs!!

Although Avril Lavigne's making her debut so there's that.
It's one of my favourite weekends on TV watching but I'd want to go.
After last year I did try and drum up some support amongst my friends to try and get tickets. It didn't happen. But it sounds like you're unlikely to get them anyway? It's one of my favourite weekends on TV watching but I'd want to go.

Overall, I think that is a fairly poor lineup.
Tend to agree, but despite that there are plenty of other acts who will be there. Looking forward to seeing London Grammar (Hannah has the most exquisite voice), Jamie XX, Anne-Marie, maybe Bonobo, Skream and Benga, Eliza Rose, plus everything else which will be on the more specialist dance music stages. I've never understood how Coldplay draw a crowd, especially after they've been going for so long playing the same old st. Never heard of SZA despite being "young enough" that I probably should have.
Only real issue is the gf has totally different music tastes, so she'll be off watching one thing and I another.
Well that's a reasonably disappointing line-up. Yay for Avril Lavigne though. I would have hoped for a heavier big name rock act for one of the nights, Coldplay are alright musically but quite dull in general. Surprised SZA is headlining despite only having released 2 albums, I confess I hadn't heard of her. Dua Lipa, fair enough.

I’ve been very lucky and managed to get a ticket every year it has been on since 2008.
I have a ticket this year but an going to chuck it back in the resale. It’s a fairly middling line up (for me) with a few highlights, but not enough to justify the time and expense for me. I rarely watch the Pyramid headliners, but even the (as yet unannounced) Acoustic & Avalon stages probably won’t have enough to hold my interest.
Am going to redirect the budget at Latitude and End Of The Road instead.
Hopefully whoever gets my ticket in the resale will go and have an amazing time.
