Pearl Jam, Lightning Bolt..... some superb stuff on it, and some I'm still deciding on.

The Glorious Dead by The Heavy

Good album, but maybe not quite as good as the one before it in my opinion.

Il go with the last two as they are very different.

Beyond Creation- The Aura (technical death metal)
Agnes Obel- Aventine (described as folk classical)

Normally I listen predominantly to metal but im spending my evenings writing at the moment and just needed something relaxing that I also found interesting. Heard the Agnes Obel track The Curse on Radio 6 at work and it seemed to fit the bill. Probably listened to it a lot in the last few days.

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals - Cold Roses. Not as good as Jacksonville City Nights that followed it)

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Hypnotic Eye. Even as a Petty fan this was a suprise. Best album I've heard in a while! Much more interesting and polished than the previous Mojo album.

I think it was Peace sell, Megadeth. Before that Rising force, Malmsteen.

Yeah they were those 'why don't I have those!' albums, I think I prefer Peace sells even to Rust in peace, its got such a classic trash sound in PS which I adore.

Need to get some Paul Gilbert for the car, to add to my shred collection.

Watched Oblivion the other day, enjoyed the soundtrack but made the fatal mistake of thinking it was Zimmer! Not much a fan of M83's regular releases but going to check the OST out properly soon.

Last few of mine:

High Contrast - High Society

PostHum - Lights Out

Nettlecarrier - Nettlecarrier

Morrissey's latest, World Peace Is None Of Your Business. Loving it thus far, quite possibly his best work since Vauxhall & I.

Its Album Time - Todd Terje.

80s/90s/Ibiza rave/Jarre/Kraftwerk/Moroder/Daft Punk mash up kind of thing is the best way to describe it. Very good in parts but also truly dire in others, especially a truly terrible version of the Robert Palmer classic Johnny & Mary featuring an almost unrecognisable Bryan Ferry on vocals.

However Oh Joy, Inspector Norse, Strandbar & the magically named DeLorean Dynamite more than make up for it. All four of them are great driving tracks but expect the last one to be cropping up on the next series of Top Gear I feel.

On the whole 7/10.

Those crazy Scandinavians sure do know their pop music. smile

Literally only yesterday got round to "Blue Horizon" by Wishbone Ash - a whole five months after release!!!

Just getting into it, had a whit of Camel in there somewhere and a bit sublime (Wishbone Ash go years then punch you out with a "Psychic Terrorism" or something...)

But, amazingly they've been their longest in their history - seven years - with the SAME lineup! And it almost has too much of that "comfort" shining through.

Nice. But I'm looking forward to their 26th studio album..........
