Mellon Collie is fantastic too. Most music execs said Billy was mad for even trying a double album, but many now consider it up there with the best doubles in music history.
yeah....i saw them on the live tour at wembley....they were LOUD
unfortuantely i never got to see them live, which is a very big regret as i am a HUGE fan.

Browsing the MP3 folder...

Anything by Bush, Faith No More, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Blind Melon, Hole, early Incubus, Living Colour, Clawfinger, Motley Crue's "Motley Crue" album, Nada Surf, Offspring, Placebo, Queens of the Stone Age, Screaming Trees, Skunk Anansie, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, The Almighty, Tool, Weezer, Zwan and some folder that says "Misc"

They'd see you right

Can't belive I'm the first to mention these guys...

...proper Cavalier 130Sri music! (well thats the car I remember listening to Faith-No-More in at the time hehe)
i was going to, but not really grunge........more hard rock IMO...

'Live at Brixton Academy' is a cracking album
To be fair your probably right if we are splitin' hairs Nick P - but I've recently put some faith-no-more in my car as a trip down memory lane... some of those tracks really do rock: Midlife Crisis, Epic, Everythings Ruined

- what i didnt know until recently was that Courtney Love was a former band member.

STP on that album had a track that sounded like most other bands its almost like a series of covers. Good album mind

Alice in Chains - Dirt or Facelift

Soundgarden - Superunkown.

Bit more mid 90's but still the same sort of stuff. Cornell has the best voice in the genre without a doubt!
Superunknown is a brilliant album, but I maintain that Eddie Vedder has the best voice, full stop.

Try the self titled album by Temple of the Dog, Chris Cornell singing with members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam (before they were formed). Vedder does some guest vocals too - "Hunger Strike" is an amazing track.

'No Rain' is one of my top ten fave tracks of all time.....bloody shame about SH

Faith No More - got angel dust/live @ brixton ACC
Placebo - got the 'nancy boy' album

got stuff from Reef / Pearl Jam / Nirvana / Soundgarden etc

got no Smashing Pumpkins/ Pixies / Sugar / L7

keep 'em coming (in a long haired , dual fisted crotch grabbing / moshing / surf thrashing kind of style)

Eddie Vedder has to be my fave 'grunge' vocalist ......but CC definitely had a broader range!

Went and saw C.Cornell a few nights ago, absolutly blew me away. Did some Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave and some of his own stuff. His voice was incredible to say the least!!!

He did a 2.30hr set, and his voice just kept going! yikes

Was going to add "Dinosaur Junior" and either of the first two albums by "Catherine Wheel" or earlier stuff by "Swervedriver" - the latter a band who deserved to be much much bigger than they were....

(although i'd say CW are more towards the jangly guitar side of grungey)

How about Mad Season - Above
One album only, band consisted of Layne Staley (AIC), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees) and John Baker Saunders (?).
Superb album.

Days Of The New are sort of continuing the AIC Jar of Flies / Sap sound.

True, immense album but more stoner than grunge.
