I normally would have nothing to do with a Les Paul.... but I'd be all over that beauty like a drunk on a kebab.

The Orca has landed.

The guitar has exceeded all expectations. This one is a keeper.

The flame top and carve on the Orca is stunning.

I usually prefer guitars that look well used but that Orca is beautiful! I hope it plays as well as it looks.

Thanks Alex.

I'm fortunate to have a few nice guitars in my collection including a custom shop '63 strat, Gibson ES335 '63 CS, '59 VOS Les Paul and a rather special PRS. The Orca is in another league by a long mile. It plays a dream.

Any excuse to post another picture!

No offence, to each his own smile

Was never a Les Paul fan until I actually played one! Beautifully made, very powerful pickups and I love the look of it but fully appreciate it won't appeal to everyone.

That guitar has a lovely top on it! Looks really nice, I had an Epi LP Custom for years and it was great.

Stick some gold hardware on that and it would be perfect smile

I am just about to pull the trigger on one of these ........but would be doing so blind (or deaf if you prefer)...whats the verdict so far?

I really like that, not usually an LP fan either.

Absolutely love it. Nicely finished, plays really well either in normal tune for strumming and fingerpicking or in open G for slide. Took it to rehearsals last night with my band and everyone agreed it sounded great, just needs a pickup of some kind to keep up in the band environment.

The case is really funky too, looks properly vintage.

I bought this 86 jap strat back in the mid 90's. Previous owner had it left handed so it has holes drilled for its strap mount, and neck is worn to death so altogether a bit of a mess! Not played for a long time, but keep thinking i must get it sorted at some point..

Does it have some sort of locking trem?

I like the colour, looks great!

Yep it has a locking trem. Tbh when I did play I tended to leave it unlocked as it was a pain to tune otherwise.

The colour is different! Not sure if it's correct, but I'm sure somebody told me Mark Knopfler played one in the same colour.

Thanks very much. I'm not really a huge LP fan either and I still don't find this one as comfortable to play as a strat-shaped guitar but it feels good, sounds great and I think it looks awesome. The library pic doesn't do the thing justice, I'll try to take some better pics with my wife's camera.

My guitar teacher was round last night and I had a go of his Epiphone dot studio, what a lovely thing it is. Hadn't really considered a hollow body electric but I can see my next guitar being one. I see they do a 339 with two p90's for £300. Love the p90 on my yamaha so would expect that to sound great.

A LP shouldn't be comfortable, that would be missing the point wink
