Nice, hope you have a lot of fun playing it.
Does anyone know if the new gibson hard case is up to protecting the guitar in an airplane hold?
I assumed it would be but my ne has a dent in it which i think i did bringing it here me in the car so not so sure now.
Hey, a few dents give them a bit of character. Does anyone know if the new gibson hard case is up to protecting the guitar in an airplane hold?

Here is the latest to join the fold. A Gibson SG 50s tribute. Ironic as they didn't get released until 1961.
A total impulse purchase - a well known northern guitar shop were knocking them out at an amazing price and I couldn't resist. My first Gibson, and I like it. The single coil P90 pups scream, the neck and action very playable indeed. And to top it all off, matt black in colour.

What with all this Gibson SG love I thought I'd finally upload some photos of mine.
It's a 2015 SG Special in Fireburst. Usual 2015 bits (love them or hate them) so nitro finish, zero fret, zebra humbuckers, GForce tuning, 100th anniversary gold hard case etc. Paid £399 in an Amazon Black Friday dea and haven't been able to put it down since.
I picked up the Vox VT20X as a practice amp at the same time having auditioned load of modelling amps in the <£200 bracket and it was by far the least digital sounding of the lot. The Brit 800 model does a particularly good job for ACDC.

Haha, cracking deal eh?
I went from no gibsons to two gibsons in under a week, that deal was too good to miss I think:
Nice one. Is that the chocolate 70s? You know what, I went back to the webstore soon after receiving the ebony 50s to snap up a 70s tribute but they had all sold out. So I nearly pressed the button on a Chocolate 50s but talked myself out of it. Two of the same would have been a bit muchI went from no gibsons to two gibsons in under a week, that deal was too good to miss I think:
