My money's on Lake Placid Blue.

The LPB MIM Standard I had a year or two back looked identical to that.

Made a bit of a spur of the moment purchase today, just messing about with it now, fingerboard feels nicer than my Squier infinity.

Does anyone know what this colours called?.

Beautiful, I really like that!

Somewhat cheaper, I bought this 1998 Korean Epiphone last week from my local 2nd hand guitar shop. In remarkable condition and it sounds great!

Thanks a lot, I have serious GAS for a Gibson 335 but every time I've played one I've never quite felt they were worth the money whereas a good Les Paul definitely does (to my mind at least).

This epiphone dot was just under £200 and it feels great, very happy with it.

According to the Guitar Dater Project website, the serial number indicates 1960-61, but the position of the scratchplate screws indicates after mid-62, and the headstock decal says post-64. Have any parts been changed that you know of?

Not that it matters, it's gorgeous! May I up the offer to £20?

Thanks for the reply's. He bought it in 1970 used it in his band until the mid 90's then its been in the case ever since. Nothing has been changed by him at all.

I have a fender squire and my chords I have learnt sounds just as good to me biglaugh

I think that Strat would be wasted on me at the moment lol

Whats the appeal with the older stats ??

Not sure how well this will be received here, maybe too much strings!
Received my new Strandberg Boden OS8 today, amazing guitar taking a little bit to get used to the trapezoid neck profile but feels very comfy so far!

I could go on. But in essence a pre-CBS Strat is the Fender guitar that made rock music.

Don't listen to the shyster, he's trying to rob yer!

It's worth at least fifteen quid, but I like the colour; call it £20 and we're good!

Amazing, I've used fanned frets on a 5-string bass before so wasnt too intimdated by that, it's very natural anyway.

I got used to the neck after a night of playing, it's very comfortable and even with my stumpy fingers I had no problems with it being an 8-string. Sounds great too!

This is what the neck profile looks like, just pulled this image from google.

Whoever made that must have mad a heavy night before, it's all over the place wink

Love Strandbergs, did you get this through Guitar Guitar? Still amazed that you only get a Gig Bag for the money!
