What's the olympic white one with the white pickguard BF?
I've just bought a 2007 Olympic white USA standard with a r/w fretboard. I'm making it into my main gigging machine. It'll have an LSR roller nut, Jeff Beck noiseless pickups, S1 switching, locking tuners & the bridge pup wired to the tone pot, essentially a Jeff Beck strat on the cheap. Just waiting for th pups to turn up & off we go.

Show us some pics when you're done, I'll also be quite interested to hear how you get on with the noiseless pickups. Keep us in the loop . Oh, and Olympic White is obviously the best colour

There is something special about Olympic white on a strat.

Yikes, that's impressive! Don't suppose you've got a GMC Jem lurking around somewhere? My guitar teacher has a bit of a JEM fetish too, really should ask to have a go on one. Think I recognise your username, you on musicradar too?

I haven't succumbed to temptation yet, due partly to average reviews It's really nice, the neck is perfect for me in terms of feel, radius, etc. The guitar isn't very diverse but then I guess it's not designed to be - the pickups are hot and it nails the 80s rock sound. A tone knob would have been nice, but I guess it's all fitting with the 80s superstrat theme . The main downside is the "original" Korean Floyd... just feels cheap. Hope this doesn't come across as too negative, but bad points aside I really do like the So Cal - think they are discontinued now so you'll have to go on ebay or something should you decide to pull the trigger! (I think you should)

Just in case you havnt read my P90 thread..... Well, after much searching about, it seems like a black Tele was not available from Fender for a good few weeks, so I got impatient and went back to the nice man in Thame's Vintage & Modern guitars to have another look at the Blonde version again. The one in stock has a tiny little dink on it after it got knocked, doesnt bother me, but a nice discount was offered and Im now the proud owner of this custard yellow beast... Having spent an hour on it so far - I bloody love it! It plays really nicely and has a wide range of tones, so all in all - Im well happy ! Excuse crap phone pic.

It's my E flat tuned guitar although it doesn't get played as much as it should. On the lookout for a nice 475 now I'm still kicking myself for not buying a Model 7 which was on ebay recently (the only one I've ever seen for sale!)

Here it is as it stands. There's another strat & a hofner. Oh and an acoustic not in the pics. This is the new strat. Just back from the menders having the LSR nut fitted. Half built pickguard with Jeff beck noisless pups fitted. Just waiting for the S1 switching pot to turn up now. Gratuitous Stratocaster shot. The Les Paul is for sale if anyone wants one. 2005 standard faded model with 50's chunky neck & zebra burstbuckers. Chu-hunky tones. So is the Funky Parker for that matter - one off custom colour on that guitar + fishman powerbridge piezo pickup. It does endless tone combinations.

A few 650Xls come up from time to time, but they fetch good money nowadays

I'm in the middle of installing a tremolo to my Squier Jaguar and I think the nut is gonna pinch the strings. I saw those roller nuts and thought they might be the answer. It doesn't look a DIY job though.
