Does anyone know what's happened to Justin Cyder? He's not posted on PH for about 3 months, but before that he was here quite a lot. Strange he should just disappear like that.

Good question, didn't he sell the Ron Kirn Tele that he waxed lyrical over only a month or two after getting it.

Hope it's not health issues

This was a bad move looking on here, been looking into another guitar recently. I sold my epiphany sheraton II a couple of years ago and massively regretted it since. I wouldn't mind another one but at the same time i've had an ache for a telecaster since i was young.

I'm back to ( tbf still don't regularly play it ) my 2001 squire strat i was bought for xmas at the age of 11, which in terms of talent i'm not better at 14 years on hehe

Some decent toys there. I'm going to add a Fender Jazz and Rickenbacker 4001 to my collection over the next few years.

Just came on to post a picture of my first guitar which i bought today, hope the real telecaster above doesnt mind being so close to the imitation, just remember its the highest form of flattery!

Decided i wanted one so went to a shop asked them to get out a selection of telecaster squiers without reference to prices, was between two which turned out to be a classic 50's vibe and an affinity. The vibe sounded better but for me the affinity played better as strings closer to fret board. Once i realised the two i had picked and the price difference it was an easy decision especially as got it for just £130.

A decent pickup set would sort that out, I expect, plus maybe some steel bridge saddles (but not so important).

Each to his own , but really don't like superstrats.

I know a lot do --so just my opinion.

To be honest i have no amp im just using a first gen irig into ipad and then onto b&w zeppelin or my b&o headphones so first upgrade would probably be a proper guitar amp.

Did the salesperson not mentioned that the action (gap between the strings and the frets) was adjustable?

Was offered the option of having it adjusted but to be honest was happy with the saving and still felt that for me at least the affinity's sound wasnt too far behind.
