Beautiful. Don't forget to take that sticker off the scratchplate.
Noted, thanks. Worked great the time when I started playing my first guitar only to realise I had pen on my hands at 15! Got the blue marks off a treat.
Hopefully the pics work, here's my two:
The Strat is a 1989 American Standard in Clapton-esque Pewter which I've played on and off for the better part of 20 years, it's something I'll never tire of, nor part with
The Les Paul is a 2015 Standard in Heritage Cherry Sunburst, it's utterly phenomenal
And here's the latest edition to the family:
Similar to an earlier poster, it's a PRS SE Custom 24 in Grey-Black Quilt. It's my first experience of PRS, and it's pretty lovely to play

So I've decided that I really need to build myself a pedal board.... better start buying some pedals!
Just a Time Machine, a chorus (Wampler Nirvava) and a reverb (Wampler faux spring) to go.... and the one-spot power, with a Fuel Tank T-Rex. And the case! (+cables) Better get saving again....
Wampler faux spring is awesome but limited to (surprise) a spring reverb sound - I have one and it's almost always on. I'd buy some pancake jacks off ebay and make the cables up yourself.
Also look at the pedal train with the voodoo lab supply, comes with a case and the power supply sits under the board.

Gulp. Someone else has bought a 2015 LP despite all the venom directed against them. They are bloody good aren't they and I luuurve the neck. The Strat is a 1989 American Standard in Clapton-esque Pewter which I've played on and off for the better part of 20 years, it's something I'll never tire of, nor part with

Apologies Jbudgie, you're dead right, my guitars definitely deserved better than that! Ive grouped them and took a bit more time over a few snaps.

The ES175 isn't mega old, 1995, but then again that was 20 years ago now! I play it with flatwounds (Thomastik Infelds) on currently, primarily for jazz and the occasional rockabilly track. I think it might be switching roles for some upcoming gigs though and putting some normal round wounds on it. Its an amazing guitar, phenomenal tone and playability.
The far left Organic is also an amazing instrument. Its so small and is fully hollow so its light as a feather! Its the smallest fully hollow guitar I've ever seen in fact, I'd be interested to see if there is anything else out there similar.

It's horses for courses though. When I tried a Standard and a Traditional recently, they didn't feel like a classic Les Paul. The feel of the neck changes everything. There are LPs out there for people that want the older feel, but sadly they are comparatively expensive, even by Standard standards.Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
