Scott Mills on Radio 1 Rant!

Has anybody else had the displeasure of hearing his show? I only listen to the radio first thing in the morning (as my alarm) and at the moment Scrote Mills is standing in for Moyles.

Now i appreciate that first thing in the morning i'm not going to be in the best of moods but his show is absolute drivel!
It sounds like R1 have just pulled a random loser off the street and given him a radio show, his sidekick 'Chappers' sounds like he talks through his nose (think Sonia, from Eastenders) and is rarely funny.
They have a girl in the studio as well who just laughs at everything, very annoying.

He has a RUBBISH feature where he wastes airtime having a boring Irish lady read (drone) out texts that people have sent him about boring irrelevant crap.

WHAT IS HE DOING ON THE RADIO??



Does anybody else think he is extremely mediocre or is it just me?

See I'm too old for R1 but not yet ready for Wogan.. and local radio just makes me want to self harm. Ipod/CDs is the only way in the mornings IMO

I think he's better than Moyles by a long way. I set the alarm to Radio1 as there is more chance I'll get up to turn the thing off than radio2, that my wife is trying, and winning to get me converted to.

The thing is I grew up with Terry Wogan (well, you know) with memories of ERNIE the fastest milkfloat in the west, theme to convoy, and 10 shades of Abba, and I don't really want to go back, no matter how funny he actually is.

I just find radio 1 annoying generally now. Rather worryingly I prefer Radio 2... they do without the daft noises Radio 1 always seem to be playing in between songs. That Zane Lowe is the worst for that
