GCSE Maths results for all the R1 DJ & support staff recently was frankly shocking and so many just made fun about it. One guy got 0% one got 1% another 7%!

GCSE Maths is simple IIRC top score was 24%... If I was the boss I'd possibly push for them to all receive training and pass this pretty basic qualification.
I think you've missed the point.

They were doing it to counter all the media hype that the exams are getting easier what with 97% odd passing.

Hence supposedly educated adults with good jobs found it difficult, therefore the exams 'are' hard.

They were never meant to pass, BBC propaganda at its worst. The alcohol 'challenge' is another example, if Aled is found to be perfectly ok after 3 weeks of drinking 3 cans of stella a night the whole stunt will have failed.

HTH smile
Oh you sceptic!

GCSE Maths isnt hard nor is A level nor well to a lesser degree Degree level. (I have all 3 top grades incase anyone challenges) its simpler to get full marks than a subjective course say lit/language. To pass sure some theories are complex but given long enough anyone can do it.

But to get 0%/1%/7% & to a less degree 24% is frankly disgusting - I would be humiliated to have ever achieved such a score.
Also the guy who got 1% said all he answered was his name... you dont get marks for putting your name in the name box nor the candidate number box.

Much better than Moyles and can be quite amusing. Have been chuckling along to his afternoon show for a while now.
Yep, another yes vote here. Funny bloke and a good show in the afternoons.

I liked R1 when it was Simon Mayo for the breakfast show, followed by Simon Bates, Jackie Brambles for lunch, Steve Wright for the drive home then John Peel in the evening, DLT on Saturday morning and Tommy Vance for the Friday Rock Show.

+1 thumbup

I could go on but I'm guessing you know where it's heading.

When BA Baracas calls you a crazy fool he's calling you "a nihal"

a complete and utter Tw"T

Its a close race between him and "the bigdog" westwood as to which of them is the biggest RS on radio..

Westwood... WTF is a 50 year old man doing dressing like that, acting like that and talking like that...

even my 5 year old thinks he's an idiot

I must say Mills is really getting on my tits. His show just isnt funny yet they all (in the studio) roll around in (fake) laughter, especially that girl, someone gaffa tape that bint.

Seriously st radio.

Moyles sometimes has me in fits of laughter, although granted he seems to have stopped making any effort since getting the brekfast show. 10 years ago Moyles was king (and how come he gets like 6 weeks holiday a year?!).

How anyone can find Chris Moyles even the slightest bit amusing is simply beyond me. Radio 1 is just about mainstream middle-of-the-road PC bullst. Their attempts at introducing 'cool' DJ's is just embarassing.

I remember the good old days of radio 1 that is the Mark and Lard show which was during the afternoon yes

The times i nearly trashed the barge pissing my pants to that pair was almost a daily occurrence hehe

At least Mark Ratcliff is on Radio 2 now with another fella but unfortunately they are on at around 8pm frown

Shame that yes should be on in the afternoon smile
Fat Harry White!

" Oooh then Mrs Smith asked me round the back and showed me her enormous pink curtains!"

"Me, in my soft top Bedford Rascal!"
The best Fat Harry White quote - and I've no idea how they weren't taken off the air for this - was something about "one up the chocolate box". Absolute class.
