I'd rather burn my eyes out than listen to Terry Wogan. Or Johnnie Walker. Or Jeremy Vine. So it's R1 all the way until 2pm when Steve Wright and Chris Evans get on and R2 gets good.

Scott Mills and Chris Moyles are the worst.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You haven't heard Zane lowe and let's not forget "THE BIG DOG TIM WANKWOOD "
Agreed, I quite like Mills and Moyles, But for some reason I haven't been enjoying Mills in the morning really. Always enjoy his show on the way home though!

Moyles in the morning for me!

Moyles is funny most of the time in my humble opinion.
Scott Mills is just... well... he's not awful... he's not Tim Westwood awful... but there's nothing good there, it's just noise between songs, doesnt offend my ears but doesn't catch my interest in any way.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I say save your Moyles & Mills bullets, and instead load your ammo for Westwood and the awfulness that is Sara Cox.

I'm only 21 and it just has to be Wogan in a morning.

Chris Moyles just seems to be some loud mouth, over opinionated scratter from Leeds who got it lucky... A bit like Peter Kay really.

Im just dying for Wogan to be baggered into playing his Floral Dance one morning.

Sara Cox is soley responsible for my having not listened to R1 for several years. I remember once having a go in a Jag with voice-activated gadgets and, as I was driving along, was cut-up by a dozy bint in a Corsa. 'Stupid bh!' I shouted, upon which the voice-activated stereo in the Jag switched to Sara Cox on R1.

I like the Scott Mills Podcasts, Moyles is "alright", but the Russel Brand Podcast has me in stitches - I apologise biggrin

I went through my Terry Wogan phase about twenty years ago when I also thought smoking a pipe and wearing M&S Cardigans was cool. I was 25 years old, and of course, single biggrin

Terry Wogan is a . Don't know how anyone can enjoy his faux-senile ramblings. The sooner I'm reading his obituary the better.

the only breakfast show I could stand used to be Ugly Phil on Kerrang -but he has left now, so I am back to CDs. Chris Moyles is a cock, Scott Mills is a cock - but I think I would probably rate him a bigger cock than Moyles

It's more worrying that adults still choose to listen to it in the grim hope of staying yooffull.
Well, I've just turned 41 and listen to Moyles, Mills et al every day. Not in some vain attempt to stay youthful but simply because the music and chat is background noise to lift the mood of a boring day at work.

I find Chris Moyles, the saviour of Radio One remember, actually very funny - but then I've got enough nous to realise that his on-air persona (the big "I am") is all just an act designed to wind people up.

Same with Mills. Do you honestly think his use of "off of" is anything other than a deliberate ploy to annoy people who are far too anal about "standards"?

I'll see those two and raise you Nihal - easily the most banal DJ on R1, no mean feat when you consider the competition of Cox, Mills, Moyles & Whiley

Bring back Mark and Lard I say.......

STOP!

carry on...

Yes, but you also post threads asking advice on whether to bone your mates missus or not, which suggests that you have no sense what so ever.

It sounds like R1 have just pulled a random loser off the street and given him a radio show, his sidekick 'Chappers' sounds like he talks through his nose (think Sonia, from Eastenders) and is rarely funny.
They have a girl in the studio as well who just laughs at everything, very annoying.
By which I presume you think "Comedy Dave" is the absolute apex in radio fun. Personally i think it's a complete misnomer, the word comedy implies a level of humour that simply is not present.

Moyles is a stupid fat boorish unfunny and is about as amusing as genital herpes; Mills is slightly less distasteful.

Got to be Radio 2 for Wogan on the way in, Evans on the way home. Mark Radcliffe too if I'm out and about when he's on.

Radio 2 play decent music, and a suprising amount of new stuff but filter out the annoying dance tunes.

I'm 30 and happy to admit to being a TOG. Wogan gets away with so much more than those irritating numpties on Radio 1. As for Chris Evans, he's matured nicely into a very good DJ and presenter.

...now where did I leave my slippers!

My new comute is too early for SIR Terry, but Tony Livesey on radio lancs is quite funny in a dry sort of way.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/content/articles/2...

Ex editor of the Sunday Sport ! And you can see him on North West Tonight.

Tony Livesey is a journalist and TV presenter with a world-class reputation. Or so he likes to pretend. Let’s face it, famous for stories such as 'Hitler Was A Woman', 'Aliens Turned Our Son Into A Fish Finger' and 'Donkey Robs Bank', how could he not be?

On TV, he has appeared on Have I Got News For You, presented What The Papers Say and has appeared as a contributor on dozens of major prime-time shows on all the major channels. Tony now also presents the sports news on North West Tonight every Monday and Friday between 6.30pm and 7.00pm on BBC One.

Earlier this year he presented a new game show on BBC Two called Traitor which was subsequently nominated for a prestigious Golden Rose award.

Loves: Burnley FC.
Hates: Black puddings.

A Lancashire lad, born and bred, strong in th’arm, good in bed (it says here), Tony lives in the county with his wife and two kids.

The problem with Moyles, Mills and the like is that because they have a group of people around them in the studio they entertain themselves where as someone on their own actually has to make an effort to entertain the audience. Goes some way to explain why Moyles' show is full of in-jokes and chat between the team.

Anyway, about 18 months ago I finally got fed up with listening to Moyles and the lack of music in his show that I now get woken up by my ipod. Radio in the car is set to Virgin but that may change depending on how they go when their name changes.

I hate the tt Mills. He is gobby prick with nothing worthwhile to say on radio.

I tend to listen to Radio 2 now but even then Ken Bruce annoys the st out of me so much i put Jango internet radio on.

Radio 1 is only good for 2 things, Colin Murray, and Zane Lowe.

I think Moyles calls him 'comedy Dave' sacastically because he sounds so undertone and unhumourous, your presumtion that i think he is the apex in radio fun isn't the case i'm afraid.

I think Domonic Burns is best kept as a news reader and not as a part of the CM show, he just licks CM arse all the time.

I find the banter between CM and Alad (the gay one) quite amusing.

I sometimes wonder what the CM show would be like if he was without his goons, i think he needs them to make fun of so he sounds funny.
I do find him funny, eventhough he is a loud mouth and can annoy me first thing in the morning.

Scrote Mills is so bad i was very close to texting R1 this morning asking him to shut up, but then i realised it would be easier and quicker to change to Virgin!

I have.

But I thought that the BBC didn't advertise due to 'the unique way it is funded'??

What a load of st.

I still listen radio 1.

But only the late evening/night output if I can help it. Less 'personality', more music enthusiasm from the DJs. Thank Odin for the listen again feature.

I don't mind Zane, at least he has an interest in what he plays.

Daytime output is 'lite' tabloid vaginal discharge.
I enjoy the music he plays, but I can't stand his interviewing style. When will he realise that the art of an interview is to get the other person to talk. When he does it its 80% him.
