I'm 44 years old and into.....Alice In Chains, Deftones, The Ramones, Motorhead, Napalm Death, Leatherface, Entombed, Helmet, The Hellacopters, Jose Gonzalez, Portishead, Weezer, Therapy?, Depeche Mode, Paradise Lost, Soundgarden, NOFX.....the list goes on.

Like some Dance/Trance type stuff too, but don't know enough about the genre to know exactly what it's called!

I've played in Noisy thrashy bands myself (guitar), been on the telly and that. smile

Video we made for Tyne Tees Television in '89! We made an album called 'Napalm Stix To Kidz' which got excellent reviews in all the 'Metal' mags at the time including Kerrang!smile

I'm the one with the red 'Axe' (guitar!)

Did you ever consider using a small model of Stonehenge in the video?

appreciate good musicianship & anything bass guitar driven a lot too
AC/DC, Megadeth, (early) Papa Roach, Motorhead, The Who, Metallica, Primus, Anthrax, Rammstein, RATM & Pearl Jam are among my many favourite bands i could list!

unholy. You've just listed the artists that live in my Cd player.

Mahagony soul is so so nice. Its not something I listen to everyday but to me its special. Baduizm blows my mind and socks off. Im genuinly addicted to erykah badhu. QSO 'stampede' works for me. Rose rouge, so flute, sure thing (st germain) do the business. Cinematic orchestra cloud9 I suspect you have seen Dziga Vertov's silent film with the CO 'man with a movie camera' score? If not

Black baby.... (kruder and dorfmeister)

I listen to everything and anything as well. Has to be chilled though wink

Floyd? Very weird. I made a big plate of sandwhiches yesterday and had 'pulse' on repeat all day.

strange.

Have you heard 'the prayer' by the world cinema experience? imo its out of this world. Dark deep and potent.

I cant find the original album, but the above compilation has one track from the original 12.

If you can recomend any other artists tracks then I be would most thankful.

I've just discovered that my imod mp3 player, grado sr 80 'phones & xmod amp has been destroyed by a fking lunatic. I will NEVER lone my kit out again. £600+ down the toilet because some people are immature s. Sorry to be grim/heavy.

Thanks man and good luck.

32 here

started playing guitar as a teenager - so really started listening to music that i could try and play

the first stuff I got into was 70's punk era - I still listen to this but not quite as obsessively - favs include clash, ramones, television, wire, buzzcocks, joy division

but tbh I now listen to (and play) ska (jamaican and 2 tone), country-rock, country and western (no shame here) and really enjoy most Northern Soul tracks. I also like lots of surf music both instrumental and vocal stuff

i play 6 string guitar but have never played air guitar - I play air bass for some reason - really wanted to play but got bored plonking along to Chris Novoselic so the lure of 6 strings and being John Fogerty took over.

If push comes to shove -- if its played on a Jazzmaster or Telecaster through a valve amp then I'm happy!

Mainly prog, electronica & minimalist, but anything really, there's few few genres of music I can't find something I like.

So stuff like, Tangerine Dream, Jarre, Oldfield, Node, Steve Reich, Schulze, Explosions In The Sky, Chroma Key, Marillion (fish era), Fish, FSOL, Orb, The Album Leaf, The American Analog Set, Floyd, God Is An Astronaut, Bill Laswell, Pete Namlook, Eno, Dream Theatre, Ludovico Einaudi, Japancakes, Vangelis, Kate Bush, Kraftwerk, Ozric Tentacles, Lemon Jelly, Maps & Diagrams, Massive Attack, Redshift, Mogwai & Saxon Shore etc.

(to name but a few).

yikes

We were separated at birth by the looks of it, or one of us is a stalker!

I've been listening to quite a bit of Tosca and Suzuki recently; also, quite like the Dust Brothers after finding the Fight Club promo sat at the bottom of one of my boxes...

Jazzanova, Clara Hill, Jill Scott and... Nitin Sawhney smile
