trying to find a trance tune based around of a piece of (proper classical) piano music, only due to having no form of memory can't remember what it's called or who it's by. I know there are plenty of piano based trance tunes but IIRC there aren't that many based around a classical piece...?

If it sounds vaguely like the theme from Platoon, then it's adaggio for strings.

not Adagio, that is my favourite piece of music period, and is on every music device / PC I have hehe

but it's along those lines in style, just more piano than strings wink

just looking up the pieces in a modern style...

Complete guess, "Requiem for a dream" ? I know there's a couple of mixes based on this floating around.

another one that never leaves any music device I have tongue out

eta apart from in the car - I have no idea why but I don't seem to be able to drive in any other mode than " mode" to that tune. Everything gets a bit hairy?!

The piano element in Children (added after the original tune) was written by Miles I believe.

It's a similar style to Children in the quiet start, simple but intense piano, crescendo to a heavy beat. Very haunting female vocal in places is about all I can add.

Annoyingly I've listened to so many tracks this morning looking for it it's dulled my memory of it LOL

Download Tunatic. Next time you hear it someplace, fire up the app, and it will tell you what it is.
And on the off chance you have an iPhone, the Shazam app does the same thing.
