the radio 1 bandwagon

for reasons best kept to myself i have been listening/enduring radio 1 of late. i honestly think if 'florence and the machine' are not mentioned every 2 minutes the station will cease to exist.
why oh why do they have to jump on every bandwagon going? they arselick any new 'hot' band as though they are the best thing since jesus split the atom, then drop them - ironically just when they start to become ok. its got to the stage where i automatically become set against anyone who r1 are promoting.
fwiw, florence are ok, but groundbreaking/original - no no no. sounds good but very bat for lashes. not worth dry humping on the airwaves at every given opportunity.

They are just promoting whatever band they have been told to by the management. R1 are a marketing vehicle. promotion is one thing but this is ridiculous. honestly i drove from my house to the supermarket and back the other night and heard the same track twice, an interview, and her name mentioned evry 2 bloody seconds!
