and in rsponse to the SD lovefest, I find them technically proficent, but not that engaging.

They are a bit 'Hi-Fi show' rather than music to love.

The Rosie Vela record is quite nice though.

I expect you can get some of thier albums on tape cassette in Oxfam and the other charity shops.

Koenig
ha ha, thanks for your input.

hehe
Don't forget the other shops - British Heart Foundation / Marie Curie / PDSA / and others might have them in stock, just make sure you look in the big wire baskets of cassettes, or on the shlef under the books.

Koenig
They'll be next to the Cassettes of Handel, Bach, Weather Report & Miles Davis probably.

All well and good if you still own a cassette player.
Round my way you'd be lucky to find anything by the Nolans, let alone Miles Davis

Absolutely love 'em, there isn't a day that goes by without one of their albums getting a spin on the tt. In fact I've got Katie Lied playing right now.

"Five names that I can barely stand to hear
including yours and mine
and one more chimp who isn't here"

from "Bad sneakers" wobble lets start a Dan favorite lyrics thread, the more enigmatic the better. Have you had a look on here? http://www.steelydandictionary.com/

Just love the ending of that song.

For lyrics someone beat me to the 'Cuervo Gold & the fine Colombian' line

'She takes the taxi to the good hotel
Bon marché as far as she can tell
She drinks the zombie from the cocoa shell
She feels alright, she get it on tonight
Yeah, Mister driver
Take me where the music play'

My favourite band, with Aja being one of my favourite LP's

The Nightfly gets a good playing here (and sounds lovely on 180g) with the more recent Cousin Dupree from Two Against Nature being a favourite of the missus.

Rosie's LP was the first one I put on when I got my Sondek all those years ago.

As above - too many good lyrics to name just one.
