Well here is my June 09 Mix...
I've gone for some really dirty, filthy beats this time, the sort of thing I'd be playing in a main room 2am set, so turn up the volume, get some alcohol down you and get ready for 2 hours of beats that I really enjoyed mixing up.

There are some massive tracks in here, including the current Ibiza 2009 dancefloor stormer 'Lamur' by Henry Saiz.

Enjoy - Andy

A few thoughts.... This is very, very good. Do you mix using computers, or decks? If it's the latter, then you are smooth as silk. Great stuff.

I imagine that you also took some time to put this together - the tune progression and key changes are spot on.

The only thing I would say, is that 2 hours is too long for most people to listen to - a normal CD fits 1hr 20 on, so people can burn, and put in their cars.

Apart from that, it's superb. Something that fills my thoughts of Ibiza.....

Thanks all so much for the positive comments!

Correct - this was done in Ableton Live 7 (although I will point out that I'm a dab hand on the Vinyl and CDJ's as well before I get a load of flack!!!)

Looking forward to Ibiza too!!!! smile

Not had a chance to give this a listen yet, but the tracklisting looks right up my street! smile

As for a 2hr mix, in my experience it's not a bad thing at all... I put one out last year (something I'd wanted to do for quite a while as 2hrs gives a lot more scope for taking things in several different directions) and thought not being able to burn it to a CD would put many people off (infact I gave people the option of downloading it in 2 seperate chunks for this very reason!... According to the webstats, almost everyone plumped for the full 2hr version - infact it got more interest than a lot of my other mixes, despite being a relatively weak one on reflection if I'm to be perfectly honest!

Downloading now...

About the 2 hr thing - I have always kept my mixes to 'CD size' or split them into chunks cos most of the people I asked preferred it that way. In fact, I prefer it that way cos I listen to a lot of things in the car.

Of course, you could always upload a version thats broken up into CD sized pieces AND a full mix too. If you can be bothered with the hassle!
