Yep, I know it's probably been done before. But it's a fantastic day here and I'm sat at work, staring out of the window at the blue sky and browsing through Spotify for some feelgood "enjoying the sunshine" songs smile Need to expand my "hot fun in the summertime" playlist. What's your favourite summer song?

Weezer - "Island in the Sun" for me at the moment cool

"Last Summer" - Lostprophets

and not only becasue the car gives me a full on robot chubby smile

"Summertime Blues" by Eddie Cochran. I have no idea why i just like the tune even though it was written almost 30 years before i was born.

"All summer long" kid rock. Catchy tune that harks back to sweet home alabama. im a simpleton, make a good tune and im sold.

"Summer in the City" by The Lovin' Spoonful.

"This Summer" by Squeeze. Seems a bit homoerotic listening to it now but it makes a nice B road cruising song.

"The Boys of Summer" by Don Henley. I always seem to have this playing when on a long drive. Early hours of the morning on a french Autoroute seems to fit it perfectly.

I may or may not have searched "summer" on my ipod.

Very nice.I don't wish to miss any others out but you can't beat a bit of early Beach Boys IMHO or Steely Dan (Royal Scam I'm thinking for that Larry Carlton LA 70's sound...just makes me think of LA Summer in the 70's).Hotel California? Where to stop? I suppose a lot of it like most music just takes you back to when you first heard/bought it.thumbup

Mine too - also, if I had to have a funeral song, it would be this.

The usual suspects;

Len - Steal my Sunshine

Sonny J - Can't Stop Moving

The Barracudas - Summer Fun

Lemon Jelly - Just Want To Make Things Right

And now I'm chilling on my day off, to The Kings Of Convenience - Riot On An Empty Street. The best quiet summer day album evah.

Mmmmmm mellow.

Didn't we do this thread last week?
